Oh good heavens, no. How many times have we seen kickers for us look like the best thing ever only to go belly up in a very short period of time.

Also, he’s a kicker. A freaking kicker.

1. Aubrey is a rookie on a 3 year 2.7mil contract.
2. Can't sign a player on an entry level contract to an extension till they complete their 3rd year in the league.
Don’t think he’s like a drafted rookie? He was NOT drafted.

So he missed two XPs now and is 96% with a 100% FG rate.

I'd take that over what we had previously any day. So yes, sign him whenever we need to lock him up. But wait as long as possible.

Missing extra points not acceptable but he’s good enough considering all things. Sign him now 3-4 years.

Also extend bland now - he might sign low end deal.
We need to worry about the rest of the season and the playoffs. Why would Bland sign a lower end deal after just tying the NFL record with 4 pick-sixes? He’s putting himself in a position for a monster contract.

No way...need to see how he responds after missing a FG, especially if it's an important kick. It's bound to happen, no one is perfect forever. The great kickers can miss FGs but don't let it affect them long-term, unlike Maher!

Isn't he the older player on the team? ( not that it matters)

Seems to be a rule against the players. Yes the team would take advantage but the players would get cash today vs maybe get cash in 3 years. Rather have cash today!

If he’s on 3 year contract already then never-mind. I thought it was a 1 year deal.
