Oh good heavens, no. How many times have we seen kickers for us look like the best thing ever only to go belly up in a very short period of time.

Also, he’s a kicker. A freaking kicker.
Kickers win games.
Kickers lose games.
That’s American Football -- on all levels.

Aubrey is under contract for two more seasons and then is a restricted free agent. For all intents and purposes the cowboys have him under contract for 3 more years.

No worries

Missing extra points not acceptable but he’s good enough considering all things. Sign him now 3-4 years.

Also extend bland now - he might sign low end deal.
Neither of them are eligible for an extension yet, per the CBA.

Weird that his only two misses this year have been XPs.

1. Aubrey is a rookie on a 3 year 2.7mil contract.
2. Can't sign a player on an entry level contract to an extension till they complete their 3rd year in the league.
2nd year for UDFAs

Can’t. He’s on a rookie contract

He’s already signed. This entire thread and the debate is meaningless.

We’re in a good spot.

See you next off season if he falls apart

See you in two years if he continues to be great.

Want to post a thread about how great he’s doing? Go for it!

If we’re actually debating contracts that are in place and can’t be changes for 24 months, let’s pivot to something that is important.

Seems to be a rule against the players. Yes the team would take advantage but the players would get cash today vs maybe get cash in 3 years. Rather have cash today!
He got no guaranteed money lol the life of a rookie kicker. But not a bad deal for 3 years. If he keeps it going he will soon be making some real money
