Meant say “our” players. We need more draft picks and capital. Trade cooper etc for pretty much anything. 3rd /4th whatever. Get more picks.

How about the gem position flex??……smh

Oh, yeah, forgot about that one.
Always hated that one also.

Seems they have one of each of these in every draft. Sometimes they are the same draft pick for the same excuses.
Anyway, that is potentially 3 wasted picks with these 3 reasonings.

They’ve already said this offseason that they want that in the Oline….

I need me some more

Guards that play Center
Tackles that play Guard
Defensive ends that play Defensive tackle
Interchangeable safeties
Special teamers!

Right.
That is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to the draft, or even the off season.
As we know nothing happens in FA.

I think it's just stupid. If you want to draft a left guard, draft the best damn LG you can draft.

Don't take a lesser player because in the future he possibly could play RT.

Right. They suck at doing this and have for years. They do it in the Secondary too

The only players with value are our young guys on cheap contracts. We have to keep those guys because we’re paying Dak and Tank a third of our salary cap.

Why does a team that made it to the playoffs need more 4th round picks?

What the 2021 Cowboys needed was about 2 more Super Star players. One on offense and one on defense.
Give me WR Devonte Adams and something similar to prime years Safety Earl Thomas and the 2021 Cowboys would have been the best team in the league.
- Ad in OC Ryan Jensen and they would have been completely over the top.

Called the cap. We are going to lose lots of our players. Will be worse team this year. Rather than cut for nothing I wants some picks to replace them.

I wonder if there are any trade partners.
I seen stuff about the Jaguars and Ravens. But not sure if that wan't just media talk floating stuff out there.

I agree, need to get something in return. But I have a feeling this team will do what they usually do. Flat out release him.
Other teams seem to pull off trades such as this, Dallas never does.

I would say that position Flex worked out quite well with Dan Quinn's defense.

Micah Parsons defined position flex.

DLaw played significant snaps at DT.

Randy Gregory moved around. Often lining up inside and sometimes dropping as a LB.

DT Odighi played a fair share of snaps lined up outside the OT.

Safety Kearse played about a 3rd of his snaps as a LB.

The worst part about seeing that, is you seem teams in desperate situations (Wentz) and are still able to make moves.

I don't think these are the guys he is speaking of. These guys are starters in Dallas and anywhere else in the league. Nobody is going to argue that 11 moves around.

It's more of the later round prospects that Dallas seeks out.

Position flex for late round picks makes sense.

Teams can only have 48 active players on gameday.

A backup OL that can play OG and OC is more valuable than a Guard only.

A backup DT than can play 3-tech or 1-tech gives the team more flexibility on the gameday roster.

Safety Kearse had a career year because Dan Quinn utilized Kearse's position flex to maximize Kearse's impact on the defense.

Position flex is only good if it actually gets the player on the field. How often have we heard this backup does so many things and then he gets 1-2 snaps a game or none at all.

Cooper is a high quality NFL player. A 4th round is 50/50 to be anything more than a depth player. I don't see the value in this trade.

Well, that won't likely be a problem since they're probably just going to release him. How's that for value? :muttley:
