Best they come here on short rest with nothing play for - hopefully our offense gets on track

“Need” is a strong word.

Those bums aren’t worthy of us “needing” anything from them.

I see the point, but not really.

First, the short week means much less to them prep wise since we just played them, and do twice a year.

Everything these guys do is on tape, and they basically get paid based on that. No one wants bad tape.

They will show up and put forth an effort. Up to us to let them know early they can't win it, then we may see a few guys mail it in.

We don't NEED anything we control our own destiny. hoping for a tie and bunch of limping off the field players from both sides lol

We are gonna blast those chumps on Sun night… What they do or don’t do is irrelevant. They will meet the buzzsaw on national TV and we will clinch the division and show the world we own them

At 6-7, Washington is only 1/2 game out of the last playoff spot, along with Minnesota and Philadelphia - their next opponent Tuesday night.
The WAS-PHL loser is eliminated from their very slim chance of winning the NFC East (both are gone in a tie).
But a 6-8 record doesn't put them out of the playoff hunt yet. 6th place SF is 8-6, 7th place NO is 7-7.
So Washington will still have something to play for when they come to Dallas next Sunday.

I honestly hope KM is saving his best stuff for the playoffs otherwise I hope somebody takes him as a coach somewhere else

He’s still a young, inexperienced coordinator
What he needs is a come to Jesus meeting about how to properly close out a game. It ain’t attacking with the passing game. Sometimes being creative and aggressive is a good thing. But late in a game with a 2 score lead the clock is your enemy and you want it running. Just run the ball, keep the clock moving and play field position. Trust your D and Anger will flip the field. Force teams to work for it instead of getting aggressive and risk giving them easy stuff

I don't need them to lose per se...but definitely want them to lose.

Mostly it's the little things like running into a stacked box for weeks when you have a quick RB who can make them pay instantly. He finally got there yesterday.
Moving your QB around as he's a far better passer on the move.
Especially in the red zone where he's horrid.

The lions had nothing to play for yesterday
Pride itself can be a pretty good motivator
Yeah but Lions play hard. Record aside, they will compete for the most part.

I just don't understand why is it it better for this Commanders team to lose lol. It doesn't really matter they aren't catching the #1 seed. And personally, I like facing a team that has something to play for.

We need Washington to win

no we need Washington to lose

no Never mind. The truth is, it doesn’t frickin matter whether they win , lose , or draw. It means nothing.
Cowboys fans as usual running scared.

At this point it helps if Washington loses tomorrow because that eliminates them. But the Eagles would still have a longshot outside chance if they run the table and the Cowboys lose out. The Cowboys have a 92 point advantage in the strength of victory tie-breaker which the Eagles would have to make up in 4 games. Of course they play each other week 18 and if the Eagles beat Dallas in a blowout, say by 25 points, that actually makes up 50 points of the differential. But it is a longshot.

But none of this matters if Dallas beats Washington at home next week. I think Dallas will take care of business and the offense will find its footing, particularly Dak and Cooper. The only thing they have to be concerned with is a slew of COVID cases like other teams have experienced.
