The way things are there is no way this team can play defense. I am advocating an all out shakeup of the defensive starters. I know people will think this stupid but really insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
1. Bench DeMarcus Ware. I know that he is giving his all, but the fact is he is a liability. He gets no pressure and gets swallowed in the run game. Dallas should give Everrette Brown the load the rest of the season. Yeah I know the guy was making smoothies a few months ago, so what?? Every time I have seen him play he has been very disruptive with his limited playing time. He has much more burst than DeMarcus right now and he plays the run much better. The only reason Ware is starting right now is because of his name, but everyone can see what is going on. You have to give guys a chance before you right them off.
2. Bench Carter as the starter at OLBer. Some of this is poor effort, but I also think he is a bad fit as the WOLBer in this scheme. Start Holloman. He looked much better playing in space and just seemed to have a better nack for getting around the football in preseason. He did not play too well against Green Bay but Carter has played like crap all year. It literally cannot get any worse, so start Holloman and see what he's got.
3. Start Carter at ILB. What kind of crap is this? Why should Carter start at ILB when he has been crap as OLBer. Carter played much better on the inside last year. The weakside is not a good fit. He would have been tried at ILB if it were not for Sean Lee who is now hurt. Dallas should start Carter at his natural position and see what he can do. He might suck it up again, but I don't think Orie Lemon is going to outplay him.
4. Bench Jeff Heath. Why was Wilcox benched again when Heath has been much worse? Go back to Wilcox who has not sulked since being benched. He is a much better safety than Heath. What is Kiffin smoking??
There it is folks these are neosapien 23's desperation moves. Now before you say I'm smoking crack, you gotta ask yourself. Could these moves make the defense any worse?
