Never nervous about the Giants. I expect us to whip their ***** every time. If it doesn't happen, I'm highly pissed off. 2 games a year have the most intensity for me and it's these Giants games.

I love the week leading to and I love the game. No nerves, just expectation: kill the ****ing Giants!

Rampage, you bring up a good point about Austin :D

In addition to the Giants being extra motivated, I have to admit part of my concerns is this teams ability to melt down at a moments notice.

I think the Giants will come out swinging so the Boys will need to match their intensity. After that the emotions should settle a bit and it will turn into a football game.

It's a "big game", so we'll lose.

That's how it works right?

no, it's if we win, it wasn't big because Giants are no good, if we lose, it will be a big game we lost

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Brooking gather the team on the sidelines and read them the riot act if the Cowboys even look like they are about to melt down. "This ISN'T Green Bay! They AREN'T the Packers! We are NOT going to let them steal this game!" I can hear it now.

Anyone feeling nervous about getting a win in NY? They talk a lot of junk and seem to step it up when their backs are against the walls. Not as well as the Eagles do but they still find a way to step it up.

I know they are banged up but I do not like they are extra motivated to play the Boys to get their season on track. Funny how teams across the NFL use Dallas as a measuring stick when they supposedly suck.

If we get the win in NY, then I really think it sets up for a good month. There is a good chance the remaining fight in them bottoms out and their season tanks and they finish .500 or worse.

The only thing that they managed to step ON this week, was themselves. Talk about getting spanked in a must win (to keep up in the NFCE) nationally televised game against the slipping Broncos.

Not about to guarantee a win, but I am not exactly losing sleep over the game either.

Want to talk about pressure? Just take a look at the Cowboy's December record lately. I'd say the gnats ought to be concerned... this is a statement game for the Cowboys. If THEY don't win... the newspapers amd ESPN will be non-stop talk... all negative, all about the boys. And the fans won't be gracious either with their talk of dumping everybody from Wade to Rome.

Now THAT is pressure. :laugh2:

If you say you're not nervous, you're just whistling past the graveyard because the Cowboys are still misfiring and have looked like total hell the past few weeks. Add to that the "back against the wall" factor and home field officiating advantage that seems to favor the Giants whenever and wherever they play us and this game is totally up for grabs.

I will say that the Cowboys should win,,, they should beat them soundly,,, but who knows what combination of unnatural events will take place.

If we win, they'll be 6-6, and it'll be just another meaningless win against a non-winning team.

If we lose, they'll be 7-5, and it'll be another loss against a winning team.

If we lose, the homers will recycle the same excuses they used after the Green Bay game: "They were desperate! They still have talent on both sides of the ball! It's hard to win in that stadium! This loss means nothing!" And so on.

Not nervous, not whistling. A better analogy would be looking for the whites of their eyes.

I DO get nervous when we play the Eagles, and even the Commanders since those two teams seem to have our number regardless of records or even who is in uniform that day.

The gnats, just another game.

In all my years, the gnats just have never seemed as tough... George Allen, Buddy Ryan... who do the gnats bring to mind?

For some reason, I am just never intimidated by that team... even when we are obviously out classed... and that is just not the case this year, or last, or the one before...

If Garrett learns from his mistakes in game 1, we win this game ... easily.

We have the running game to push the Giants around just as the Broncos did.

I believe this team is prepared for the December stretch. Romo seems a bit more focused. I deduce this based on his interview after the Raider game. He knows that he and this team will be judged by this December stretch.

In truth, I'm glad the media have made a big deal about the Cowboys' lack of success in December. No ... more ... excuses. No ... more ... overlooking ... teams.

Go out and produce and win, and the media and other critics will shut their pieholes. PERIOD.

Now go win.

There isn't a game on the remaining slate that has me feeling any less than nervous about. Not a slam dunk left on the schedule. This team has not dealt with prosperity well over the years, so unless the approach for this one business-like and the team is not full of themselves, I would chalk this one up as a loss.

I'm not that nervous about it. This should be a win if we play reasonably well.

Judging from the final score, I'd put the emphasis on the DEFENSE having learned a thing or two.

Out of 5 games left , I think the easiest to hardest game is as follows:

1. Washington
2. NY
3. SD
4. Philly
5. NO

So I'm not that nervous about the Giants.

I think we will have all the motivation in the world to drive the nail into their coffin. Besides, all we will here from the media leading up to that game is how its we fold in December. I actually feel bad for the Giants because this defense is the real deal and all the talk of December will only hyped them up more. This is the game where we show the league that this December will be different.-
