Don't know if this is the place for it, but everyone should be aware the FCC is trying to kill Net Neutrality. Specifically Ajit Pai, head of the FCC and formerly a lawyer at Verizon, is trying to destroy it despite bi-partisan protests to the contrary.

If you don't know what Net Neutrality is about, read this:

It really doesn't matter who you voted for. If you enjoy using the internet without additional fees, fabricated slow downs and censorship, you need to get on the phone and call your representatives.

To put it in context, if Net Neutrality is gone then ESPN could launch a Cowboys forum of their own, sign a deal with Major ISPs who would then slow down, or stop, your access to CowboysZone in favor of ESPN's forum.

Don't ignore this, it's important and it WILL affect you sooner or later.

Last i heard which was awhile ago is that America was already doing poorly in comparison to other countries internet speeds, i am not sure if that is true, but it seems like this neutrality thing will only make certain net things/places even slower.

Given the millions of people who commented during the comment period (which has now passed), including the heads of most major tech companies, it is obvious this was a done deal from the start, as is most things defined by political lines.

That said, I have a feeling that the moment the FCC tries to remove net neutrality protection, most major tech companies will file suit and drag this out until either the courts rule in their favor or the next administration is elected and re-implements the regulations.

I am afraid this thread has to be closed because it will definitely evolve into political comments and debates given the political make-up of the board of the FCC, but I will leave it on the site so people can see it for a while.
