Got these off Amazon and they're supposed to be plug and play. It has the XAV5201 and the remote access point device XWN5001. I can't get them set up and when I called Netgear the jackleg there told me to return them and get an extender. I told him couldn't we get these to run and he said yeah but I'd be better off to get the extender. That didn't work well for me. I'm on a Mac running 10.9.2. I'm going to install any updates and then see if any one here can help.

So help! (please)

What is the problem you are having besides "it doesn't work"? Anything more specific?

I can see a network (netgear-ext) but can't access it. Right now I want it to just extend my existing router signal so just be part of that network. I've plugged the XAV5201 into the Comcast modem, the router and my computer but can't connect to it. How do I make it part of the router's/computer's network? Right now I went to system preferences on my iMac and it was hung up. I had to go to activity monitor and force quit it. I'm going back to bed. Maybe I can follow the destructions better tomorrow. If you have experience with this then I'd appreciate a PM. You can likely fix this in a few minutes. Thanks. Get back to me when you land that nice, nice plane. :)
