Never did like Roethlisberger

If I were a GM of a multibillion dollar NFL team, I'd probably double check with the guy at the top of our payroll on his retirement plans before I draft his replacement. So maybe they didn't, which is nuts, or they did and drafted the guy anyway... which is nuts.

Bash him all you want.
Ben is right.
Last year Ben Roethlisberger talked about retirement and after throwing 5 INTs in a loss against the Jaguars he said, "maybe I don't have it anymore." Why is Ben surprised they drafted a QB?
Where did I bash him?

Wah-HOOOO! This is a thread I can get behind and support 100%. Let the Rothlisbooger trashing begin and don't stop even if someone else already insulted him in the same fashion. First off, he's a Steeler. Second off, he's the QB for that team. I shouldn't speak so poorly of an individual, but he had it coming.

Trapped in the heart of Squealer Nation I can tell you the towel-wavers will turn on him the first chance they get. They love the back up QB and are tired of Ben losing to Brady.

May they get their wish sooner rather than later.

At least he is being honest than that same ole cookie cutter Bs responses you hear.

I dont blame them for drafting him. Big ben said he might retire like 2-3 times now.

DING DING DING DING

Want to talk about retiring multiple times...don't go whining when they try and prepare for your departure that might happen any off season. Levy and the Tuna have both said along the lines of...if you are thinking about retiring you have already retired.

You have my utmost sympathies, Jake. If you put any team uniform in front of me, the one that riles me most is a Steeler uniform.

3rd round pick makes a nice cheap backup. We all know that backups are worthless and if you starting QB goes down the season is done. But you still need someone to fill in . I could see if the used a #1 on a QB . Ben is just showing how mentally unstable he is . BTW the backup QB comment is sarcasm ... I know there will be some that miss it and the joke

Almost didn’t get to your last sentence lol

I hate the sealer organiation too, but I've looked into Ben's alleged assault case and I can say with confidence that he did not committ a crime. She consented and then changed her mind after the fact, seeing an easy payday. I'm a father with a daughter and would never want a female sexually assaulted so you know I would be the first to call Been a criminal if he really did it. The Rooney family may very well have paid his legal fees but that doesn't make him guilty of anything.

Which one? There were two.

I mean of all 32 NFL starting QB's apparently he is the only one that attracts gold diggers. And yes I have read both incidents. I too am the father with a daughter and I would never want someone to do that to any female. I am also the father of two sons and wouldn't want either of them wrongly accused of something.

There were two sexual assault accusations, you never even mention the second one. Don't know if you knew about it, or even bothered to look it up, yet you can say with confidence she wanted an easy payday. Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. But it happening twice with Ben involved kind of raises a little red flag.

I don't claim he did it, but I also don't claim that he didn't, I just know I don't see any of the other QB's in the league put themselves in this situation (more than once even).

Fair enough. I didn't know about the 2nd one.

Dude has always been vastly overrated. He “won” a SB with like a 22 QBR

I just see it as Ben wanting to win now. It's just like he said, they could have picked a player in the 3rd round that could help them win now instead of a wasted pick for this upcoming season. It's a valid concern, he's not going to be there that much longer.

LOL, Cowboys fans. Why do you have to reach so hard to find a reason to manifest some fake hate for a great player. Ben is under no obligation to be the new kid in town's babysitter. It's tough love for the rookie so suck it up newbie.

While what you say is true, it is highly unlikely Mason will take Beb’s job this year short of an injury to The Rapist. If that happens, it’s in The team’s and The Rspist’s best interest he mentor Mason. The Rapist is just a plain, flat despicable human being.

Even with that one statistically horrendous game in the SB, he still led all QBs in QBR for those playoffs. He killed it in the playoffs that year.

Big Ben is a drama queen that loves to hype up his injuries but I don't blame him if he doesn't want to mentor the guy.

It's a business first and foremost and having the guy behind you better then you is bad for your business. Ask Favre.

If he wants to mentor him then that's his choice but he shouldn't feel obligated to do anything more then be a nice person to him.

True enough but still that had to be easily the worst performance by a winning QB ever C, and he didn't even score the one rushing td he was credited with.
