Well that was the worst song I think I have ever heard.

Lol... about to post the same thing. Interesting soundtrack choice to honor Doomsday.

Not sure I can see Randy White getting fired up to a song that ends with a screaming rant against "Mommy" lol

I was born the same year the Cowboys Organization was founded so I was too young to appreciate their early years but I do remember the Doomsday defense. I was always a Cowboys fan so I'm always game for a rerun of the good old days. One of my favorite things is going to the Cowboys Pro Shop at the Mall and catching old games being played on TV.

I got to meet Randy White and John Dutton a few times. John in the mid 80's and early 90's. Randy held three yearly camps for me a few years ago. Both very nice and personable guys. I was a huge fan if theirs as players and now a huge fan as people. Especially Randy, great guy. Always wanted to meet Too Tall, perhaps someday.

I think it was made for a zombie movie. At least I know that was the first time I heard it.

Yeah, those were some really exciting teams - back when the defense didn't worry about "unnecessary roughness" - just hit him hard and see what happens. The Flex-Defense and scoring defenses. Defensive intimidation..was real!!!!!!
Absolutely!

This is why you cant make a fair comparison between quarterbacksof that era and the current one.

There was no "down by contact". Therefore a D-linemam could have his way with a quarterback once he got his hands on him.

And now a story:

Don Meredith had to play a game with bruised ribs so they fitted him with a protective vest. To create padding the vest was filled with a red liquid

During the game Meredith got hit so hard by HOFer Sam Huff that the vest ruptured. Huff is standing over Meredith in complete shock as this red liquid ia oozing out and Meredith looks up and says in obvious pain, "Now look what you did Sam, you killed me!"

Loved the doomsday D !! Fav player growing up was the Manster Randy White .. I had his number all throughout my football career as a Youngin in pop warner through high school.. it's amazing to see how the NFL has changed so much since then .. a good % of those plays would be penalties in today's NFL .. what a shame

Old highlight videos really don't take the perspective of the actual game footage.

Doomsday from 1977-1979 were at their best outside of the early 1970s.

Super Bowl XII, dominating pass rush.

Watching a music filled highlight video really does not do it justice.

I believe it was.

I will never understand why someone would take the time to edit a video together like that and completely ruin it was a ridiculously bad song like that.
