Never overrate the Lions again

I said a few days ago I wasn’t sold on the Lions. Just look at their history.

I thought if they lost today, Vikings would have a shot at title. Still have to play each other twice.

Their defense is trash and Goff is so immobile. Our pass rushers will feast.
They can still put up a lot of points real quick. Even if you build a sizable lead on them, they can battle back. I see that being a tough game for us. I believe we’re 0-2 against Goff.

Ya, that's the thing that got me.

According to many on CZ, the Cowboys can't do anything due to their last 27 year history, yet some of the same people were propping up the Lions with their history.

Make it make sense.

They’re all tough but I think it’s a good matchup for us. Slow the run, get them in 3rd and long, and release the hounds.

It seems like the Lions have been around forever, and they’re one of four teams that have never been to a Super Bowl.

Slow the run may not be that easy. Jamar Gibbs is a pretty darn good back. He’s very quick and shifty. That game is going to be a real test for us.

When’s the last time the Cowboys allowed a 100 yard rusher? Or a 100 yard receiver? I love that matchup.

We gave up over 220 yards on the ground to an AZ team that didn’t have near as good to back as Jamar Gibbs. I don’t see us blowing them out.

It was a division game. Many times you have to throw the records out when they face each other.

Jeebus it's the NFL. Good teams lay an egg once in awhile and the Lions are pretty good.

History has nothing to do with current teams despite how much our brain would like to tell us otherwise

People need to stop overreacting with every game. Yes, the Lions aren’t as good as San Francisco, Philly, the Ravens, KC, or in my opinion, Dallas. But they are still an excellent team with a lot of strengths as they have shown throughout the season. Are some people overrating them? Sure. But that doesn’t mean they are all of a sudden ****.

Agreed.

Yet one team has their history used against them all the time, and others, their history is completely ignored.

I just find it amusing.
