I did not expect to see a great game last night. I thought the Cowboys would come out a little flat because of the butt whooping they laid on the Eagles, the bye week and do we think we're the only ones that know the real second half of the season begins Sunday night?
The coaching staff could harp on trap game all week and every one of those players was looking at film of a really bad team, particularly on those lines. And that secondary has the most targeted CB in the NFL. How in the hell do they get up against that?
Some rag on the Cowboys for playing down to the competition when almost every team does that, how do you think "any given Sunday" came about? There is not one element of the Giants that can equal the Cowboys, they know it and getting all jazzed about that was a tall order. They know they're got the gauntlet coming up and they'll need all hands on deck, I think they just wanted to get to NY, get the win and get the hell out with the team intact.
I don't know anymore about the Cowboys than I did before this game but didn't expect to because of the level of competition but that changes with the next two games and the rest of the season except for getting a game with the Skins. They did what they needed to do, it wasn't pretty, no style points but they maintained their lead in the East and that's all that really mattered about that game.
