This is what I don't like about AP Poll rankings. There is no rhyme or reason to it.
LSU leaps over USC, but yet USC didn't lose.
Florida, formally #4, comes in at #9, dropping 5 spots.
But they lost at home, to an unranked Auburn team that didn't make the rankings this week.
Oklahoma, formally #3, comes in at #10, dropping 7 spots.
They lost on the road, to an unranked Colorada team that also didn't make the rankings this week.
W.Va., formally #5, comes in at #13, dropping 8 spots.
They lost on the road, to the #13 ranked South Florida team, now ranked #6.
Texas, formally #7, comes in at #19, dropping 12 spots.
They lost at home, to an unranked Kansas State team, now ranked #24.
To me, USC should still be #1, W.Va. should be ahead of both Florida and Oklahoma, with Oklahoma ahead of Florida. Between these three, Florida is the only one that had home field advantage, but yet is ahead of Oklahoma and W.Virginia. Go figure.
