The guy who does the Bang Cartoons is a rabid Skins fan, to his credit he does poke fun at the skins in some of his cartoons.

extremeskins.com has this plastered all over their site. The fetish of hate towards Tony Romo is so much fun to read.

I think that cartoon was more of a jab at the knee-reactionaries who compare Tony Romo to the next this or that.

Kind of like Henson was the next Staubach. Cowboy fans have a propensity to make absurd comparisons.

Bang did a fair job at illustrating this here. :)

Ding! Winner winner chicken dinner. Mostly at the media and their mad love affairs with anyone of promise. They hype guys up so much that every success is magnified, and when they fail a little bit people forget they're really just young players in the earliest stages of their careers. (Personally I think Romo is a fine QB. I'm more impressed with him than my partner on our podcasts , and he's as rabid a Cowboys fan as I am a Commanders fan. My point is he's good, at times he can be excellent, but he's not ready and has not proven enough to be compared with some of the people he's being mentioned with by overzealous sports media.)

He's not drawn that way because I think he's SHORT, nitwits.
He's the Little Prince. That's why he has such a nice carriage. :)

You almost make it sound like the cartoon was a compliment to Romo, when it actually comes off as an insult. I don't get the media reference either, as it was never mentioned or even alluded to. The cartoon comes of as Romo having bought into the hype about him, while everyone else still sees him as Joe Somebody.

Or at least that's what I got out of it.

I liked the Manginirat skit - funny stuff.

He'll be out of the NFL in two years and coaching a broken college program next. He broke NFL Code.

The mangini part was horribly written and seriously the easiest and most obvious jokes you could possibly make. The romo bit was mildly amusing at best, but again, easy targets and no originality at all.

...by exposing a CHEATER?

Our JJ cheated as well in 1990's

Its all game. Fact is all teams try and rip signals. Mangini and his staff were caught by Pioli and BB last fall and they escorted Manginirats taper off field. Manginirat turned on his mentor in a classless act. He will be out of the NFL soon. deservedly. Pats 7-0 and doing fine sans "spygate" Just like our Dallas run in 1990's, talent wins games. We were stealing signs too, and ironically JJ said at end of day he gained no advantage..

You guys might be taking life a bit too seriously, lol.

Romo is a kid compared to Peyton and Favre in both age and experience. Nothing wrong with showing him as a kid compared to them, and hardly an insult, could be a compliment.

That was funny to me, but I don't get pissed at everything that makes fun of us or me for that matter. I take it with a grain of fun.

I didn't think it was hilarious but it was kinda funny, the funniest part was when Romo pulled up in that carriage.... it was the only part I laughed out loud at. I got a few laughs out of the mangini skit... it wasn't great but it wasn't bad by any means.

No, he didn't.

As has been mentioned to you before (but you conveniently ignore it) it wasn't illegal back then.

I'm sure you'll ignore it again.

And I would of done the same thing Mangini did. Belicheat STEALING my signals and I'm gonna do nothing about it? Oh you could go spend countless hours changing the way you send in your signals, but that's exactly what Belicheat wants you to do.

If anyone broke NFL code it was Belicheat, not Mangini.
