I can't remember any completions on his side. There was one catch that was overturned because the WR bobbled the ball.

It suprised me that he played instead of McCann.

I think at one point after ball blew alot of coverages they moved him to play the slot receiver and walker played opposite mjenkins

If newman is not back next week it would not hurt my feelings to see Jenkins Walker Mccan in the slot and Ball on the sideline

We're facing Grossman. If Newman needs another week than by all means give it to him.

I noticed Walker, but didn't notice that he was in over McCann. That wouldn't surprise me at all though. Fans confuse a 99-yards pick six as evidence that McCann is good cornerback, when really he's pretty much been used out there.

I think he's made some improvement this season, but he still can be thrown on quite easily.

Ball's INT yesterday was clutch. He may have made some mistakes but w/o that key play, I don't think Cowboy nation would be so giddy today.

You can knock him but you have to give credit too.

Grossman is 2-0. He's "beasting." :D

If he can play, I would at least activate him for the game. Whether you actually put him in the game or not can be determined.

The pick was great timing but if you look at it again the only reason he got it was because he was beat so badly by his man he was in position to pick a pass intended for a different receiver.

That is what it looked like to me and it also the pick by itself does not make it all better when he single handily kept a drive alive that led to a TD by giving up 3 straight first down on 3rd down and passing

Fair point but Ball looked pretty bad prior to that. I have to go back and re watch it but I'm not sure it was a great play by Ball instead of a bad throw that Ball was able to take advantage of?

Ball looked pretty bad other then the pick, I think it's fair to criticize him.

LOL really?

They played zone on that play so how was he beaten badly my his man?

He carried his man a bit and then let him off to the safety. The intended WR ran kind of a crossing route and Elam was jumping it anyways.

Smith threw the ball wide of the intended point (which should have been the sideline) and Ball read the eyes, fell into his zone and just had a good, crucial pick.

But even with that pick, it can be argued that they don't score any of their 1st 14 points without the repeated picking on Ball on 3rd down.

Not beat...zone coverage.

I watched closely and saw it differently. I saw Ball watching the QB's eyes and left his man who was cutting outside and met the ball as it was being delivered inside. I'll find a replay and re-watch it to see if it happened as I remember it during the game.

See that's mistake number one... Grossman has the Commanders at 2-0 looking like a very good team. I would not take him lightly, he's comfortable in that offense.

Re-watched. Looks like Ball released his guy (who didn't run out but turned straight up) to Elam who had deep coverage as Ball locked in on Smith, moved inside a little, then made the play. Easy INT for him.

I've watched a little bit of both their games and he has looked decent. He did throw a couple picks yesterday but regardless they're 2-0 and he has been pretty good.

For all the crap I talk about Ball, I do give him credit. RIght place, right time b/c either Smith threw to the wrong spot or the receiver ran the wrong route. Even if Smith had thrown it to the reciever, there was a guy there to at least make a tackle.

It was the right defensive call by Rob Ryan and well executed by the 2ndary. I'm hoping as they have more time with Ryan and this system, this happens more
