You know what I mean? A real GM - A guy who can tell the coach to sit down and have a cream soda while I do the pickin' ala what George Young did to Bill.

I'd love to see Jerry(who I am very happy with: as my owner) bring in a true "draft guru" guy - wouldn't you?

Lets be honest, we "may" have missed on Peterman,Rogers, Pettiti and Burnett, Al Johnson, that's alot of whiffs.

Actually, I think this is probably the biggest aspect that some of the fence sitters and maybe even some of the Big Bill's supporters like.

I like his drafts. Havent been perfect, but pretty good.

The only other person that will ever be GM besides Jerry is Stephen Jones.

No question. We'll have to wait for Jerry to die before we can even think about having a real GM. Even then, who knows? Nobody really knows a whole lot about how Stephen would run the franchise. Presumably a lot like his dad.

I miss Tex!

Peterman - Hard to tell, haven't seen him play

Rogers - No doubt, bust. This dude has no cajones.

Pettiti - Struggled when Flozell went down. However, you can't really expect to get major contributions from a Sixth round pick. Hard to call a sixth round pick a bust.

Burnett - Hard to tell. Again, haven't seen him play much. He had what, three surgeries this year. What if we had given up on Bradie James after his first year?

Al Johnson - Not sure he is a bust either. I think he might be serviceable if we can get a road-grating right guard, but you might be right.

I thought our draft last year was excellent, and still looks very very good. We are getting solid contributions from Ware, Canty, Spears, Barber, and Ratliff was seeing a little time too until the injury, and Beriault showed potential before his injury as well.

Our drafts have been much better than they were in the pre-Parcells days.

The main problem we face is a stubborn-*** head coach that is dead set on doing things his way, sometimes it seems just for spite (not playing backup qbs when the game is out of reach), and having an absolutely horrid o-line.

The o-line is the main problem. The only game we opened up really nice holes was against Carolina. We could use a lot of help there, right tackle, right guard, maybe center. Larry Allen is no spring chicken either. I hope Peterman can fill-in there, but again, I haven't seen anything.
