New coaching staff, new mentality and new culture

Loyal?

Loyalty doesnt mean leaving and disappearing when things go bad and you cant handle being called out for it.

I havent seen the guy post since during last season until now.

He vanished for months, then shows up here to tell us all how to be "fans".

LOL
Yup...the guy is the biggest offseason fan the Cowboys have. Now when it gets real? Well...there's always next offseason

First off the NFC East has been a terrible division for years. Look at Prescott's record against the NFC East and than outside the division. At 2016 season Prescott was an unknown and it wasn't until the end of the season that a couple teams like the Giants and Vikings started to figure him out. Sure he hung a lot of points on Green Bay but that was a 31st rank past defense. In 2017 the Denver Broncos pantsed him. That is when he got exposed. His years went on he was no more than just an average QB worth about 7-9 wins with the major help of Zeke. And then they drafted Parsons a gold nugget that fell right into their lap when they weren't even targeting him they were targeting Patrick Surtain. Parsons face the team an extra 4 wins a season with his stellar play. He was so good he elevated the players around him both the defense AND offense. Dak has never elevated the players around him unless it was against the Giants and Commanders. If anything Daks play once they get into the playoffs has deflated the rest of the team. That's why we see these blowouts. I'm telling you the locker room is divided on Dak and it's gotten worse over the years. The defense doesn't even have time to make corrections before they have to run out there because Dak goes three and out especially in the playoff games and against good teams.
How many years in a row are we going to say oh this game is a good measuring stick for Dak and Dak falls flat on his face.
He lost Freddy, dez ,Jason Whitten, Ezekiel Elliott. And it went downhill from there. If it wasn’t for Prescott, we would never be in the playoffs. He totally overachieved with this rag team

It's alway funny when people treat being a fan of the Cowboys like an article of faith. You better fan the way we want or we will burn you at the stake.

If it wasn't for Prescott Dallas may of had a couple horrible seasons before landing Mahomes or Allen. Prescott has been just good enough to prevent the Cowboys from drafting a QB.
Remember when Romo came in for a few plays against the Eagles in that 2016 season. The velocity and accuracy he showed made Dak look like a High School QB. Romo couldn't stay healthy and they didn't let him play anymore which was the right choice. But it showed me how limited and weak Daks arm is. The point being the Cowboys stopped looking for a QB which was stupid.

I guess you forgot, Sean Lee saying who is this guy behind center. Wow we got a quarterback.

Sean Lee ...... the quarterback guru

Also the guy who missed 58 games (3 1/2 seaons worth) in his 10 year career ......... Dak is starting to have a lot in common with him.

You want to quote someone five years ago to make your case about Dak? Do you know how old Dak is? Do you remember all his injuries since then? Do you remember all the stink games he has had since 2020?

You don't get stronger and better looking as you age, and that is where Dak is at this moment.

Nothing wrong with an optimistic post here.

A lot of us are so jaded by three decades of failure and I get it, I really do. But like the OP says, football is just entertainment. If we look at it from that standpoint, we can either choose to be entertained or not. If the Cowboys start doing poorly, well, we've all been down that road already, haven't we?

If they are good, enjoy it. I understand Cowboys Zone is a place for fans to vent, but I know for a fact many of us don't even find happiness in wins here anymore. And that is really sad, because it's missing the entire point of being a fan. Only one team can win the Super Bowl per year. Every team in the playoffs except one is guaranteed to lose their last game.

That means a whole lot of sad fans worldwide if nobody enjoys any victory, be it in September or the first Sunday of February.

1 impact player doesn't always get you there.
Adding many solid players works better. Build a sold foundation. That holds up much better than one strong player and the rest weaker.

Consider it like building a dam. All parts must work together to be strong. Then you can get players to emerge to be an impact.
I think that is called team building 101.
Problem is that if your solid players aren’t so solid, the dam breaks. I believe a lot of people are showing pessimism over the talent acquisition so far this offseason. For me, I have hope but am truly concerned over DT, both OT positions, and RB. Williams is coming off an injury, Sanders might have been a product of Philly’s o-line, Steele I fear has seen his best days, and how well will Dak play off of his injury? Will the players that need to improve do so? It’s fair to ask these questions, but not fair to dismiss the talent we do have—and we do have talent.

What happens when you don’t have the protection and you get beat up in the NFL?
Sean Lee had a great career, wish we had a young one. Pathetic, you put down our best players at the end of their careers. How about the choke Mahomes? Oh it’s OK because he already won LMAO.
