Below is my response, but this crazy place keeps pittuing rocky's name there.

i once developed a lanyard that featured a pencil sharpener, a security whistle and lip balm, all handy for emergencies. Someday those who rejected tha idea will be sorry and I will laugh at their puny lives while I get rich and party with Jay Z.

Most people seem to be basing their opinions on the 2025 season outcome on the fact that the previous years coaching staff is the same coaching staff currently on deck. They either discount that fact or just chose to be ignore it to further their agenda. Well, that’s a mistake. There’s a thread out there about how much the defense is going to suck. How could anyone know that? They couldn’t. New coaching staff, new mentality and new culture. There’s threads out there about how the offense is going to suck because of no WR#2 and they didn’t draft a RB until the 5th round. How could they know? They couldn’t. This is an exciting time in the NFL with new players from free agency, trades and the draft as well as new coaches all around. If you can’t get excited now about this years Cowboys then maybe you should find another type of entertainment. Because that’s all it is folks. Entertainment. No reason to become a Debbie Downer over everything like most of the posters are. It’s an exciting time and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2025.

Maybe it is because they know New coaching staff, new mentality and new culture but same FO. I am not trying to bring down your hope. All I am saying is that after 30 years of not seeing success, it becomes easier to not rely on what happens in the off season. Show me the results and maybe then I can start buying in to what you are selling. Maybe this year is different that the previous 30 and I sure hope so, but I am not buying in to the hype till I see it on the field and in to the playoffs.

Anyone who says they did is a liar. CZ had 6 months of peace, but now it's done.

Actually I did. I say a lot of the things he does, but I mostly do it for fun and just screw with guys. Some, like you and 5star have thick skin and play along. Rock takes if more serious, sometimes crosses the line, but as a former coach, it hard for me not to appreciate the passion he has for his team.

You ever take a 6 month break from your teams?

He doesn’t have passion. He talks like he does but he doesn’t.

He bashes everyone with a differing opinion and then goes and hides for months until he is ready to return.

Lol! It's a damn forum. What is there to be afraid of? Captain was gone for months, he came back for a cup of coffee last week and no one wrapped on him about it...the leader of the cult, said he wouldn't come back if Dak was re-signed....he never left. Jerry isn't trying to 'invent' something, for the past 30 years he's been doing nothing more than move pieces around in an attempt to keep the cash flowing in. Winning hasn't been important since the early 1990's. If it was Jerry would have been breaking the bank trying to bring in the best possible coaches and trying to bring in top free agents. But most of all, if he was truly serious about winning he would have brought in a competent GM who knows what he is doing. Jerry hasn't done any of those things, so what are people supposed to think?

I see it more like, it ranges from just having a good time to taking it way to serious.

One thing that Dak has had as a serious disadvantage last year was the poor pass protection that he got from Dallas' offensive tackles on both sides. Let's hope that improves substantially this year, if the offense is somehow able to display a meaningful recovery.

The performances of both OT's will be tasked with making a substantial improvement in that effort. Let's hope it somehow materializes. Both Guyton and Steele will be faced with improving enough to be seen as a highly likely task. Nevertheless, hopes are high that it might happen. Well see.

Did possum guy disappear from CZ in October when the team sucked like Rocky did? If he did I guess I missed it.

Rocky quit - plain and simple - and now he denies it. If he would just say he needed a break it would settle better, but he is sticking with the "I didn't quit" narrative with no explanation. Not that he owes anyone an explanation, of course, but the lying and denial makes him look foolish.

He took a break. Lots of people do. There are several regulars who have made bets or sworn to the ghost of Tom Landry that they are giving up on the team forever but they come back.

Rockport just argues with his adversaries more than most, so when he comments, the chirping is immediate.

He’d do well to use the ignore function more because he can’t resist arguing with the same people. They’re all rehashing 15 year old beefs with each other.

Honestly, I find the ignore function makes for a better Zone experience. I just wish it wouldn’t make entire threads invisible instead of just responses within a thread.

I just finished reading a story about my personal favorite off season pick up Joe Milton and how NE is categorizing him as a “ bad dude “ ….well they have to cya when you get rid of the back up QB for nothing much and really no valid explanation.

I want competition competency improvement the and the RB room has changed the OL is improved nice pass rusher and DB drafted ….yeah the off season is for optimism isn’t it ?
