I saw the new stadium today.....too bad it was from an airplane as I was leaving DFW this afternoon.:cry3: This was the closest I have been to it in real person. I'm sorry if the picture is too small but I sure was excited when I saw it  .

I saw part of the arches on the ground as I was leaving the LaQuinta next to SixFlags but our free shuttle guy to the airport would not take me by there on the way....lol.

I was traveling in DFW last week and I went by the stadium. Very cool looking up close. If you have the chance to go see it you must do so. It's a structural wonder!

You gotta be kidding me.
Nope, there's a big and relatively new walmart right across the street from the stadium. If you ever look at the stadium progress web cam, you can see the big sign on the store.

First post here in the Zone. Looking forward to visiting your new palace in 09.

Several times over the past 13 years, I've taken the same American Airlines flight from Washington Dulles to DFW and back. That flight has always arrived and departed from the same gate location, directly across from the Cowboys themed bar on the AA concourse. I think it was planned that way just to greet us Skins fans.

BTW, I really enjoyed my one gameday experience at TX Stadium in 2006.

Yes, ya'll handed us our tails that night and I've never liked the looks of that building anyway.

However, the tailgating, the people, the ticket prices and sightlines from the upper deck were all very good by current NFL standards. No F bombs, physical threats or garbage were thrown at us like we're used to in Philly.

I think a lot of your long time season ticket holders are going to miss that place when it's gone, especially the season ticket holders in the upper deck.

Great point.

I'm not a season ticket holder, but I know I will miss Texas Stadium.
