Dallas has so many picks that it now gets exciting thinking about tomorrow.

69. Michael Johnson OLB --- Johnson has bust potential because he hasn't played up to his athleticism but he has performed well with 19 career sacks and over 30 stops for losses. Right now he is still a little bit of a one way player in that he doesnt read plays well or redirect all that good but he is a 6'7" guy with great speed. As a pure 3-4 rusher he is very intriguing. Not one of my favorites but he ranked top 40 on almost all the boards I saw leading up to the draft. \

75. Rashad Johnson S --- Rashad is not a superb athlete but he is smart and will compete every play. A bit like a Bill bates type in that he is all effort all the time and a great communicator. May only be a nickel safety and special teamer but he should help you somewhere and is a safe pick from that respect.

101. Jason Williams ILB --- Burnett replacement with a bit more meat on his bones. Nickel backer and special teamer day 1. Could grow into every down backer next to Bradie James.

110. Stephen McGee --- Cowboys get 3rd QB here. He'll work on some wildcat packages and whatnot but be holding a clipboard most of the year. Way more potential than any recent backup.

117. Ramses Barden --- Cowboys get a big WR who can fill a possession slot and win jump balls at the goalline. Cowboys could really put pressur eon defenses with the size they can throw out at WR with Rw11, Austin, Witten and Bennett also being in the mix.

156. Johnny Knox --- Cowboys add a speed WR here to complement Barden and help out on special teams. Same way Dallas can challenge defenses with its size at Wr it can throw out now a mix of Felix, Austin and Knox to threaten slower DBs.

166. Tyronne Green --- SEC Guard has faced superb talent and could play a solid backup role long term.

172. Cary Harris --- USC cover guy to play nickel corner makes sense here. Solid player who lacks all-world speed.

197. John Phillips --- TE is not a need but with this many picks and TE being BPA at a lot of the selections one is bound to come.

208. Henry Melton --- Melton is raw as rain but OLBs are worth developing and this kid is such a good athlete he can help you on special teams until he can do more.

210. Blake Schleuter --- TCU Center can drive across town. Developmental Center who needs to bulk up but plays with great technique in the run game.

227. Everette Pedescleuex --- Massive 300 pound DE who can stop the run and shows some athleticism.

notes about my own mock....

I would have liked an OT but the value just never seemed ot be there without assuming a big drop from NFLDS rankings.

I didn't want to make a trade-laden draft but honestly I'd have loved to traded up to late round 3/high round 4 and taken Mike Wallace as opposed to my later Knox selection.

I don't think we need to walk away with 12 picks so I do suspect we make a move up somewhere.

It wouldn't at all shock me to see us make 2 or 3 moves up(or package for one additional 5th) and lose the extra 6ths and 7ths we currently hold.

I like it, especially the Michael Johnson pick. He goes against everything I have been screaming about, lacks the grit & want to that all my other mocks required, but his upside is just too dang tempting. :D

Sorry for hi-jacking your mock, but here's mine:

69. James Casey FB/QB/SLOT

75. 110. Lardarius Webb CB/S/PR

117. T.J. Lang OG/C/OT

156. Sammie Lee Hill NT/DE

166. Zack Follett ILB/OLB --- One of the hardest hitters in nation, versatile, played 4-3 MIKE & SAM as well as 3-4 OLB, productive playmaker. ST demon on coverage teams.

172. Mitch King DL/LB --- Doubt the most feared Big 10 D Player falls this far, but due to lack of stereotypical measurables there is hope. Amazing intangibles to go w/his violent hands, quick feet, intensity & non-stop hustle. Short but very athletic. Immediate leader on ST, if not the D.

197. Roger Allen OG --- Not as versatile as the other picks, but is as dominant a run blocker as Duke Robinson, but more consistent and stays on his feet. Great work ethic to go with his nasty demeanor.

208. Brandon Tate WR/PR --- Injury drops him this far, one of the most dynamic returners in NCAA histoy; coming into his own as WR prior to injury, outshone Hakeem Nicks.

210. Stryker Sulak OLB --- Pure effort player w/surprising athleticism, has the size (6'5 250) and athleticism (4.65) to contribute at ILB too. Monster on ST.

227. Zach Potter DE --- Not as massive as Pedescleuex (285 lbs) but more active (4.9 40), creates plays (sacks, INTs, FF), has frame (6'7) to get bigger and has a non-stop motor. Also was 2nd in country w/7 blocked kicks.

as a 3rd rounder, I dont really call Johnson a bust if he doesnt pan out....well not now, since the 3rd round is on day 2. For me you have to be a day 1 pick to be a bust.
