Can we let Mr. Tillman R.I.P already? What good is any of this? Sadly it will not change the outcome of the events that ended his life. If this is being done at the request of his family then the media should back off and let the family take care of this in private like most family matters should be handled.

Maybe the reason they can't let it rest is because they feel some of his fellow troops shot him on purpose. "Gross negligence" is the term being thrown around.

Wow, destruction of evidence and a potential cover-up.
If he was murdered it will be interesting to see what the motivation was.

I remember his brother being VERY angry in the weeks after his death and several times claiming that he knew the "details" of what had happened.

I always just assumed it was anger at the loss of a brother, but this new info makes his anger more justified.

I read this on another forum earlier today and almost got sick to my stomach...

...On the ridge the young Ranger nearest Pat Tillman screamed, "Oh my [expletive] God!" again and again, as one of his comrades recalled. The Ranger beside Tillman had been lying flat as Tillman initially called out for a cease-fire, yelling out his name. Then Tillman went silent as the firing continued. Now the young Ranger saw a "river of blood" coming from Tillman's position. He got up, looked at Tillman, and saw that "his head was gone."

You see, this is the kind of stuff that frankly I DO NOT NEED TO KNOW ABOUT. This is not NCIS or something. As for being murdered? Again this is not NCIS. I would say about 99% of the time things like this are driven by a ambulance chasing lawyer looking to make some coin and garner some attention.

Then stop reading this post.

I know where you are coming from, but understand that Tillman joined to protect the US. That got alot of publicity and like his death, it too recieved publicity. Therefore, the investigation will also recieve alot of press.

Not saying that it is right, but it is going to happen.

Yes when he enlisted it did get a lot of attention. However do you remember what was Mr. Tillman's request to the media was about this?

C'mon j. Thats like someone hitting the lottery and asking to be left alone.

Again, I am not saying that I agree with it, but it is going to happen.

Sadly, I do believe that the story is bigger and more public due to the coverup moreso than an American soldiers death.

Weird world we live in.

Perhaps but it doesn't have to be a made for TV movie. If there was wrong doing, then it will be handled. Should be a personal matter for the Family, the Army and the Rangers IMO.
