#22 Aqib Talib

#28 D-Rogers Cromartie

I have no problems with this. We could use two talented corners to play for
the next 6 years.
Long live the computer simulation.

Im just not a fan of Talib. I used to think he would be a great pick but he went M.I.A for a good span during the season. Also, he doesn't look to have elite speed.

I wish Jerry had the balls to pull a first rd like that. We would be set for years.

Yes, but we would still probably be stuck at WR, not to mention the fact that we would now have 3 first round corners and a first round safety. Just doesn't make any sense to me.

Not at all, we take either a Caldwell/Hawkins/Avery in the 2nd or a Douglass/Royal in the 3rd. Philliy did this with Brown and Lito Sheppard and set their defense up for years. We have 2 30 yr old corners, one who is injury prone and another will be a FA in another year. Its time to protect ourselves.

Let's take

Cason at 22

Cromartie at 28 instead :)

Yeah, 2 1st round corners doesn't help the team a whole lot IMO. Sure, you have depth and players for the future but you are using a 1st rounder for a player to be 4th on the depth chart.

Plus, what if the both pan out and be solid players. 5 years (providing there is a cap) how do you sign two productive corners in the same offseason.

CB is a need and I would like to pick up two this offseason but I think one of them needs to come from FA. Someone who has played and can compete with that 1st rounder for the #3 spot.

CB/RB in the 1st. WR in the 2nd.

Are you guys serious? There's no way this team will spend both of its first round picks on CB's...absolutely no way. At best we'll use one pick on a CB and pick up a non-starting FA.

I'm still thinking we go CB and WR.

I agree with you.....he does not have the closing speed that is required in the NFL .....he has toast written all over him in the NFL:bang2:

Anymore you do not want a CB that cannot do at least a 4.45
Just way too many burners now in the NFL.
For those that say they would be playing only a little: One replaces Reeves and would be playing almost half the snaps, and that is not accounting for possible injuries, which we found out about the hard way this year.

From the scouting reports that I've read, Talib may be better suited to play FS in the NFL rather than CB. His closing speed may not be there.

Talib as a FS might be a good player. He has excellent ball skills and good hands which was evident by the offensive plays he was apart of this season.

I like the guy and think hes a tremendous athlete but like you said, his closing speed may not be there.

I wouldn't cry over that though I think I would reverse the draft order taking Cromartie first. As for Talib, I agree. At 6'2 205lbs and his ability to hit. He has safety written on him. Receivers that can run great routes will eat him alive.
