CBS sports.com has come up with new rankings today on DT's. Below are some of the notable changes.

Player Pos. Rank Overall Rank

Sheldon Richardson 2 10

Shariff Floyd 3 17

Kawann Short 7 42

Brandon Williams 8 69

Sylvester Williams 9 89

Some move up, one(S. Williams) moves down. B. Williams maks a big move up and K. Short moves up a few spots but still doesn't seem he gets the respect he deserves.

Sounds about right. I assume you omitted Star.

Man, the more I think on it, the more I think that, if we resign Spencer, trading down a bit to pick up an extra 2 or 3 seems more and more enticing. We'll be able to get a good DT at the end of the first and possibly 2 good OL and a S in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Hard for me to pass that up.

What are people moving up to get? I suppose someone might be itching to get back into Round 1 for a QB, but I feel like 18 is a soft spot for a lot of positions. I worry about demand on the other side for the trade-down scenario.

Someone will trade up. THe new CBA makes it very favorable.

I just hope they don't get too cute.

Fix the OL and stay healthy and this team can compete.

Hankins? Not of the question that he's there at #18 I don't think at this point.

21 5 6-4 280 Datone Jones UCLA

The best value of those rankings would be Sylvester Williams at #89 overall (R3, Pick25).

Also love that idea.

John Hankins/Kawann Short/Sylvester Williams
Barrett Jones/Travis Frederick/Larry Warford/
Phillip Thomas/Eric Reid/DJ Swearinger/Jonathan Cyprien

Pick any 3 you like out of there and its a great draft. Add in whatever skill position Jerry falls in love with in the 3rd (extra pick we got) and its an incredible draft. This draft lacks the top talent, but the 2nd and 3rd rounds are extremely deep in the trenches, safeties, and WR/RB's. All needs for us.

I agree with you accessment but alot of scouts are saying the talent drops of at 60. Whats my point? Picks one and two need to be starters. One on each line would be huge.

Pretty good point. Its possible someone wants to move up for a guy like Ogletree or Te'o if he slips...or maybe even one of the OLineman. I think there will be a lot of teams that might like that spot

When has trading down ever worked for Dallas? Forget the theory, look at the actual results when we employ this strategy.

When has standing pat at #18 ever paid off? Just because things haven't worked out in the past doesn't mean you limit your options entering this season.

...and his brutal drafts....I tend to agree with you. If we can draft similar to last 2 years...DECENT....and avoid a horrible draft like '09 (the SPECIAL teams draft) we can definately compete

It helps when you don't give up a 1st and a 3rd for Roy Williams.

I bet Floyd gets drafted higher than Richardson.
