Here at ESPN, we will premiere a new show called Sports Nation July 6th. It's a web-based interactive show that allows fans from all over to be involved with the show via twitter, *******, facebook, etc. My favorite website is Cz.com and I wanted to extend an invitation to any and all that would like to take part with the shows concept. It's a great way to have your take or input on a show. Many show ideas, topics, and debates will come directly from fans and their passion for sports. There are other ways to be involved with the show as well. Some of you may want to just bust out one of show hosts on mistakes and that's fine. We will post anything on this show as long as it is viewer friendly. Either way, my twitter account for the show is thegift2574, feel free to follow and chime in with your thoughts. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will respond ASAP. BTW, the hosts of the show will be Michelle Beadle and Colin Cowherd. I know some of you will enjoying taking shots at Colin! Go Cowboys!

Its love hate relationship, IMO. They love covering us because we boost ratings, but as a whole I think most people hate us because we're covered so much.

If ESPN didn't have the Cowboys, Lebron and A-Rod, I have no idea what they would talk about.

I forgot about Manny! They don't seem to talk about Kobe all that often anymore and it most likely has to do with LeBron.

This is smart on their part. A lot of companies are building / employing social networks to provide them research and ideas for free.

Much cheaper than paying for your own R&D.

Cowherd loves the Eagles.

So therefore I hate him.

But I will check it out and tweet you some thoughts.

Cowherd does not love the Eagles or any other team. The last team he followed as a fan was the 90s Cowboys.

Colin Cowherd, Michelle Beadle to host ESPN show

th_mbeadle_160x191.jpg
Michelle Beadle will leave 1050 ESPN radio and the YES Network for a new, daily, hour-long show at 4 p.m. on ESPN2 called SportsNation, which she will co-host with Colin Cowherd beginning July 6.

As far as I could tell from a preview at the ESPN upfront Tuesday, it appears to be, um, it's hard to explain. Here is how ESPN described it: "SportsNation is a live sports television show born from the Internet, fueled by fan interaction and focused on fun."

It's seems sort of like a sports talk radio show, but on TV, which allows for the use of video and Internet buzz and Twitter and stuff.

“Our goal is to bring the fan into our production meetings,'' producer Jamie Horowitz said in a news release. "The fans choose the topics, provide the angles, and decide how much Brett Favre talk is really needed.”

Said Cowherd, who still will do his national radio show, heard here from noon to 2: “I’m stunned management let me do a TV show. I know what the producers and I find interesting and funny – and it leads me to conclude that we probably won’t be on the air very long.”

Scott Van Pelt will take over the radio show he currently does with Mike Tirico from 2 to 4, and the final hour will be simulcast on ESPN2 to serve as a lead-in to SportsNation

this is what happens when you are too big and have no competition.

Espn is essentially not important to sports fans anymore.

The fact that espn has a twitter account is a riot to me, why do they need that? Isnt that was espn news and 1 of the 100 graphics on the screen on espn 1, 2 classic and U are for?

I miss the old espn.

THe MLB network has basically destroyed baseball tonight the last show I watched on espn. The mlb network is terrific and baseball tonight has jon kruk in glasses!

anyway, I wouldnt watch or listen to anything with colin cowherd the guy is plain lousy.
