For some reason I was not as scared when he kicked then when Cortez kicked, anybody else?

Maybe because he didn't kick anything over 21 yards.

BTW, we had another bad snap on that second FG.

He basically kicked 6 extra points so we don't have any idea what he can do. We need to see a lot more before we can make any judgments. His kickoffs weren't quite as good as Cortez's though, but the coverage teams did a nice job.

All I care was that he made all the ones he or any average NFL calibre kicker should make.

I like the way he kicks. If you notice, the good kickers all look very relaxed when they kick. He looked that way to me. He might be a good one.

cuz you'd never seen him kick before. I think he did okay, but when you look at it, he wasnt really challenged. He made 2 20 yarders and a couple extra points........I'll wait to sing his praise when he hts a few 40+ FGs in a row, and maybe when he adds a little depth to his KOs......

Same with me since i had never seen him kick i didn't know what to expect yet i was confident everytime he kicked. With Cortez i was worried everytime he kicked a XP thats how much confidence i had in Cortez. At least with this guy we know that he can hit the chip shots

He looked shaky in the warm-ups on the clip that FOX showed at the start of the game.

...his kickoffs affecting us in the field position game. He seems a little light in that department.

Is this a sneak peek into his ability to kick FGs beyond the 40 yard marker?

I'm simply happy he doesn't pray after each FG. :bang2:

For those of us that didn't get to see the game:
If he made two 21yd FG's, why did we stall at the 4yd on those two occassions?

This was a good debut to get his feet wet in an NFL game but I need to see more. Gotta know if he can make a 40+ FG with consistency. 21 yarders don't show us very much. He's supposed to make those so he's already better than Cortez. I'll agree with many of you that I am much more confident watching this kid line up for a FG than I was with Cortez. Just saw too many Cortez disasters over the years.
