New Kicking Ball Rule

Anyone watching the Seattle-SD game, they are talking about the new rule. After seeing the replay and seeing that brand new slick ball and also now knowing the league had put in a new rule, is there any doubt that someone purposely slipped that brand new ball in that game at that precise moment? I'm sorry, I don't usually go for conspiracy theories but the league would not make a rule if there wasn't something to it. They know a ballboy or someone else slipped that ball into the game but theres really nothing they could do about it after the fact except create a rule to make sure it never happens again. Thats my rant!!!

Bottom line........we got screwed and the league knows it.

true, theres nothing we can do about it now, but i hope in some small way, the way head coach of seattle was crowing about us being poor losers, and there was no conspiracy, but now since nfl has stepped in, and numerous other nfl teams have complained about the ball on kicks, the nfl had to do something.

however, i would like some play where it comes back to bite hog...... of seattle in the butt for his rude comments, etc,

My whole thing on that was this....

#1 we shouldn't have put ourselves in that position to have to win the game like that.

#2 If the ball was that slick, and obviously it was, why didn't the center say something? They have a right to ask for a new ball.

My only gripe for that game was the refs changing the original spot by instant replay.

I'm sorry, but there had to be irrefutable evidence to overrule the original spot. There simply wasn't.

All that being said, I think we should've won the game by three TDs. But poor execution and poor play-calling killed us....not the "K" ball.

People get on Romo for that game. Yes, he played poorly....but no more poorly than the rest of the offense. He also gets a bit of a break from me because it was his first playoff game.

Remember Aikman's first playoff game?

The last few years it's been this close win type of situation, and if you play that way, you will lose more than you win. Once again, we played a close game, and we lost.

If you go out and take a team by their throat, then you won't have to worry about slick balls, and bobbled snaps, etc.

People seem to forget that there was STILL a GOOD 1:15 left(even IF that ball was in decent condition).

Pt being that Seattle's O started torching us late in the game-they would have had PLENTY of time anyways to drive for the winning FG.

It was a poorly played game by us(and Seattle) anyways-I wasn't impressed, period.
