Just watched the first episode online.

I like these kinds of shows not so much for the b-movie concept but for the soon to be reality in regards to computers and nanotechnology etc.

Anyone else into that?

You actually make a very good point.

When I first saw it.... I was like "a friggin mustang... are you kidding" LOL

Is this a series? I watched the movie a few weeks back but didn't know if they were gonna make it a series?

They are trying to sell it to NBC. The ratings were good for that one episode.

OK cool. But I think they need to put more emphasis on the car if they do. The car was always the star of the show IMO

The car was pretty sweet...that was one cool looking mustang.

However the show itself was pretty lame, than again the original was too but we just liked it more because we were younger at the time.

Isnt that the truth. I can not tell you how many times I have went to netflix to get a movie or tv show I just loved as a kid. Sat down and watched and was like WTH was I thinking......lol :lmao2:

I saw the pilot. The problem is that Kitt has no limitations now. The car has this armor in which it reconstruct itself due to millions of nanobots that can repair the exterior damage to the car, and what's convenient is you can turn it off with a simple switch. The car got blindsided and it didn't have a scratch. It was a ridiculous concept.

The old Knight Rider was cool because computers was still in its relative infancy so it was neat to see a car talk back then. That concept is no longer novel considering all the sci-fi movies and television shows that have been created since then. That show's success was due as much to its time period as its concept. Also consider there are many cars with voice command features to turn on your CD player or call someone today, again, that concept was totally foreign back in the early 80's.

If they want to make Knight Rider cool then Kitt needs some competition..perhaps a renegade car the bad guys own with some abilities. It can't just be about a cheesy dude in a talking car that solve crimes in a neatly ending NBC family like way...sorry...it won't work now.

Same here...well not net flix but buy a DVD, or see a movie or show on tv and say...man i get to see that because I loved it. Then wonder what the heck I was thinking that I liked it when I was younger.

Think about being a young kid and loving Dukes of Hazzard. I remember my dad hating that show. I tried to watch an episode of that a couple years back and just scratched my head at how bad it was and how I could ever like it. Just horrible.
