A Sacramento radio sports show host was discussing Romo and Aikman's comments about him. He basically was standing up for Romo and that everyone should just leave him alone. He reported that Aikman is wrong to talk about that Romo doesn't care about perception. "Did he not forget that when he was playing, the Cowboys had the White House where they were doing drugs and girls. And they were married. Newton was dealing drugs in the locker room. Plus, the cap is much different now then when Aikman played. They could get away with some of the things becasue they had the talent. Romo is a great qb and it take some years to figure out defenses like Lebeau's and Johnson's who have been in football for years. What Romo needs to tell everyone is Shut Up and leave me Alone. Needs to give Aikman the finger and not the index, pinky, or pointy one." He appeared to very supportive of Romo and did not thnk he was getting a fair shake with all of the criticism he was receiving especially from Aikman' comments. Just thought you guys would likr to know that not all of the media is reporting negative things about the Cowboys. Some are very supportive of Romo and this guy thinks if he wins 1 Super Bowl everybody will forget Cabo, December's records, etc. Wins 3 and he is a Hall Famer. He thinks that Romo is only going to get better and would take him on his team any day. Just FYI

Here's hoping...

Listen, the truest cliche' is that winning cures most ills.

So it will be with Romo.

I have a ton of respect for Aikman and really don't think anything he said was bad. Romo does need to learn things in the game and perception is one of them.

When your team goes 1-15 and the one win came in a game you didn't play because of a broken finger, you know what it's like when everybody is down on you. Aikman pulled out of it by reading Bradshaws book, hopefully Romo can learn from Aikman's struggles.

I think Aikman knows what he's talking about since he's been there and this guy hasn't. And who said Aikman had anything to do with the white house? He can't control what other grown men do off the field.

Romo has made himself an easy target.

The Aikman hate is absurd.

He never was hating on Romo. All he did was point at that the Dallas QB scrutiny requires that you walk on egg shells to keep the team out of the spotlight.

Is he wrong? No.

Romo really is still rather inexperienced as a quarterback, so it's reasonable to expect that as he continues to learn on the job, he'll cut down on the mistakes...

At the same time, though, Romo seems to have a little Brett Favre on him, so maybe we're gonna have to accept that he'll make the egregious mistake from time to time, and we should just hope that he makes enough plays to make the mistakes tolerable...

I mean, Jason Campbell doesn't make many mistakes, but he doesn't make many plays either, does he??

Troy understands the expectations that come with being a Dallas Cowboys quarterback and when Romo and or the team struggles the Cabo perceptions become even more negative.

That stated I wish he would have counseled Romo privately but I understand he is in broadcasting. But what does bug me is no reference to faraway trips key players and coaches take on other teams. Some Cowboys players went to Vegas during the playoff bye week of 2007.

At least Romo brought his playbook. Why wasn't Witten criticized. He went with Romo. If you want to talk about distraction or misdirection how about our coaches who prepared and went on interviews with other teams during the playoff bye week. That must have built great comradeship, loyalty and solidarity between the players and coaching staff in the quest to go deep into the playoffs and get to the Superbowl.

Mike Tomlin, head master of the Steelers went on a skiing trip during the Steelers playoff bye week.

What bothers me most about Romo is I have never seen him really pissed off.

It' amazing how fast people have turned on this guy. I don't know who is worse, the media or some of these so called fans.

There will be a time when I will be proud to say I stuck with Romo as he holds up the trophy. Of course, I'm sure all of his haters will be back on the wagon by then. But I will know....

What do you expect? They ignore anything his teammates say about him and parrot the paparazzi media. The kid's a class act and that stuff translates on the field. Dallas will turn it around on his watch and he will be the biggest reason why. Provided stupid fans don't turn him off of the game like they did Don Meredith.

Amen! The reason is called the "Web". If we got our mail by Pony express and it came out of Dallas next week no one would talk. That is progress and Tony is paying everyones gas bills this month as he is the only topic of interest. I guess Dallas don't know there is a super bowl going on somewhere. And I'm sure someone must have a gun tucked away or maybe a dog fight going on. Oh well until they get rid of their tunnel vision on Tony I guess he will stay hidden in Wisconsin.

Please never, never, ever compare Romo to Brett Favre.

I did, dozens of times. He wasn't real animated about it- but EVERYONE watching at home or in the stadium knew it.

To repeat myself for the zillionth zillionth time, Tony Romo needs to know when he can zing it around and when not to. He makes too many mistakes to be an elite QB. Right now he's a gunslinger and not a manager of games. JMO.

You'd be wrong about that.

Yep.

And just because someone states that Romo has to learn and needs to be more intune with what he says and does is not throwing him under the bus, turning away from him, or anything negative. He needs to learn how to be a QB and a face for the Dallas Cowboys. A proper face.
