Lurked for awhile, decided to join. I'm a little older than most, and have been a 'boys fan since 1972. The 70's and the 90's were great times to be a Cowboy fan, these days, it's pray and hope. I'm of the mindset that until the Jones family hires a real GM, that these pray and hope days will continue. My favorite Dallas Cowboy of all time was Bob Lilly! He was a game wrecker!

Thanks,
MIV

Welcome. If I had to guess I would say maybe 25% of people that post here actually got to see Bob Lilly play. You are correct as he was game planned for, and double, and triple teamed on every play. Still he got 95 sacks from his DT position and all the attention he got from blockers enabled Jethro Pugh to get 96 sacks. Lilly was a beast against the run too. I remember that scene after SB6 where he was smoking that victory stogie in the locker room. Was happy for him in particular to shake the label of "next years team" as he was there from the beginning through the expansion years and become a champion.
