New mock, no trades - 1/22

I don't know any of these guys as I haven't been paying attention to college or anything about the draft. I did learn something new today though. I learned why the chicken crossed the road.

Was going to say what a waste of perfectly good beer then I noticed it's Carling. Poor chicken

1) Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis
2) Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville
3) Keivarae Russell, CB, Notre Dame
4) Jordan Howard, RB, Indiana
4) (comp) Malcolm Mitchell, WR, Georgia

I think your on the right track.....

1. Get the QB

2. I go CB before DT...there is more depth @ DT than Quality starting CBs.

3. DT.

4. RB

4. WR
Been doing a lot of mock draft simulators...better get your CB or O-lineman early if your looking for starters.

This class is deep at both DT and CB. I'm not opposed to flip flopping those picks at all. In this particular simulation, a lot of CBs went before my 2nd, so I figured I could snag Russell in the 3rd and I took the best DT available.

You got QB in first and DT in second so sounds good to me. With how Lynch is dropping in mocks, I'm sure plenty would complain. But with a season or two learning from the bench, I imagine Lynch would do fine for us down the road.

Because Paxton Lynch can come in and win if Romo misses games better than any QB in the Draft.

Addressed DT too early but claimed a possible upgrade at Wideout, RB and CB. Winner Winner if you resign Rolando McClain and Hardy, this is a do-able scenario.

Think there is better scenarios on talent at RB or WR in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, then DL help on the 3rd day.

I tend to disagree a bit. In another year, those 2nd round DTs would be first rounders. While there's no elite, clear cut #1 DT, there are 4-7 that could steal Hayden's job within the first week of TC. After Elliott, I'm not enthralled by any of the RBs. WR you could definitely make a case for, as there are several 2nd-3rd round guys that I really like a lot.
