I like the draft, but I'm not sure if 2 rookie DL can make the team.

I think Spears, Rat, Igor, Hatcher, and Bowen are staying.

Is Sammie Hill going to be more of a DE or DT in your opinion?

I think R Miller is soley a NT.

Maybe switch one DL for an OLB or coverage LB?

(Appleby is a run stuffer for the most part, IMO. Not good in coverage.)

I like almost all of the picks and placements.
But Derrick Willams scares me a bit that early, but i realize he may be gone by the late 3rd.

I think Moore could turn out to be pretty good. I also like addressing the NT position. other than that though i'd be pissed if that was our draft.

the 2nd mock in this thread is even worse than the 1st. not 1 d-linemen?????

#2 simply because I like Fletcher better then Moore and presents better value for us. I don't like the idea of spending that first pick on a true CB

The 2 mocks don't change that much in the middle, guess you are really stuck on these guys:

Derrick Williams
Antoine Caldwell
CJ Spillman
Derek Pegues
Cornelius Lewis
Antonio Appleby

Honestly, none of those guys really get me excited.

I was going by the NFLDS board after the Caldwell pick, and those were the best values that I saw

how come Derrick Williams doesn't get you excited? I watch the tapes of him and he's so smooth out there, plus he's a team leader, and will do anything asked of him

and a player Caldwell, who has earned All-American honors at both OG and C doesn't excite you?

Spillman isn't the most exciting player, but he's a safety who could fit into an interchangeable safety system, I think he's good value there, and Pegues is a do-it-all kind of guy who's probably a better kick-returner than Miles Austin, had 11 INTs in 3 years and a healthy 10 yards per punt return average in that same span

I admit Appleby is a ho-hum kind of guy, he just goes about his business, Lewis too, but we need more players who know their role, and aren't superstars, but get the job done, and Lewis is a nasty guy for the line

I have nothing against Williams. I just would not want to draft WR with our first pick. Although things have changed now w/Austin being coveted by NYJ.

Caldwell is fine too, just not a favorite. Considering his awards he should be more dominant than he has been. But more importantly, I don't see him as a prototypical Houck OL. He could be good at center, if he put on 10-15 lbs and developed an edge, but he won't cut it at OG on this team and a backup should have versatility. All that plus the off field stuff, he just doesn't do it for me.

I just don't see any of these guys winning a starting job, other than Williams, if we lose Austin.
