Lost creator J.J. Abrams will have a new show on NBC in the fall titled Revolution. Here's the premise. What if everything in the world requiring a battery or electricity no longer worked? No cell phones, no TV, no PCs. Nothing. Flash forward 15 years. The world is now controlled by warlords and militias. A family has some sort of flash drive device that may give clues as to what happened and may restore things to the way they used to be. There's only one problem. The warlords and the militias want the device for their own purposes.

Abrams is the creator and producer, and Jon Favreau, who was the director for both of the Iron Man movies, will direct the pilot episode. The show will air on Monday nights at 9 PM, CT.

I'm on board with this.

So computers do not work but a flash drive is supposed to save the world? That does not make any sense to me but the entire plot of Lost did not make sense to me either.

Yeah, like how did people live on the other side of the island now know the others were there ;)

Sort of a version of "Dies the Light"

stupid. Society did quite well, relatively speaking, before electricity. Up through the 1880's we had a pretty advanced society based on steam and the like.

So somehow electricity stops working and cannot start up again?

Really
Really
LAME

Probably some kind of alien thing.

And by the way- electricity is kind of important to how people live as in powering the muscles and the like....

A lot of it makes no sense to me, even after watching the trailer. I guess the "drive" somehow has the ability to provide power or the case its in or a combination of the 2, who knows.

What I thought was funny was that they say "after the blackout nothing worked, not car engines, jet turbines, even batteries" But as a plane falls out of the sky the navigation lights are still on, guess they don't run off the aircraft battery or the angine driven generators.

Not to mention its on NBC. It will start off string, get moved to almost every night and time of the week, people will get tired of trying to figure out what night its on, the plot will weaken and boom canceled.

Same as they did with "the cape" "the event" and numerous other shows that started to develop a following that NBC ruined.

Enjoy....

It's not another singing/dancing/lose weight/reality show so I will give it a try.

We need more of those like we need more cop/detective shows

it wont last.as long as Jeremiah which was a damn good show.

He is a Sci-Fi hit creator.. Person of Interest is the breakout hit of the season. Fringe got a full run of 5 years. Lost is the biggest sci fi hit of the past decade. Alias was a hit.

Undercovers was a failure and Alcatraz was close to getting a second season, so it was not a complete flop. With this being on NBC it needs not much more than to settle in at a 1.5-1.6 rating, it is getting the premier timeslot for original programming on NBCs schedule (new episodes of Revolution will premiere following The Voices new episodes on Mondays), so with the lead in and the built in audience of JJ Abrams Sci Fi fanbase this could be the breakout hit of next season... which for NBC means pulling 2.0-2.1.
