The real story, I think, is that the Cowboys finally have an offensive line that Garrett trust can keep the running game going in the face of adversity and 8 defenders in the box. In previous seasons, defenses could dictate our offense by simply showing 8 in the box and then backing off back in coverage.

#4 When Linehan was brought in Jerry made a point that we would have to be more balanced.

I don't think it has much to do with Romo's injury. The base example of this is to go back to the original rise of Demarco murray, see how much Romo threw then.

any team will run the ball when they can. but you can't get behind and you can't get penalties in order to keep running the ball. we have the talent to run, we have'nt hurt ourselves much with penalties, the defense is keeping us in games so we are running more. people credit linehan but he did'nt run in detroit, because they couldnt effectively run the ball
