I just got it last night when I arrived home. Easy setup and activation. Hands down the best phone I have owned so far. It is incredibly fast. The dual proc and 2 gigs internal RAM is just super snappy. I have zero complaints so far.

Samsung did an outstanding job w/ this new phone. If you are in the market for a new ATT device, seriously consider kicking the tires on this little beauty.

My boss is in the same boat. He is a Crackberry fan and I have finally talked him into getting away from that side of phone tech, so he will be getting an S3 real soon once his old contract is up. The guy has been enamored w/ Android for a while now and it appears he will finally cross over.

I got his assistant setup w/ a new Android phone last weekend. She loves it.

I do go through phones way to often. Terrible habit actually.

I was gonna get the galaxy S3, i'm ready for an upgrade, but I rooted my captivate and changed ROM's, and it's like having a new phone. Quicker, smoother and was fun.

Looks like a cool phone. I don't upgrade phones hardly ever. I keep my old one until it is on it's death bed. I bought an Atrix when they came out and it does just fine by me for my usage.

Back in the day, I always wanted the newest coolest...now it seems silly because even my phone is considered outdated and it is less than 2 years old.

I will buy one when I need one. Although I would buy something like this for my lady and she can give her "old" phone Galaxy S2 to a family member.

I was in the marker for a replacement phone for my HTC EVO 4G and I was strongly considering Galaxy S3 but ended up going with EVO 4G LTE, just got mine yesterday as well and I absolutely love this phone. There isn't much of performance difference between Galaxy S3 and EVO 4G LTE, I just like the EVO 4G LTE's LCD screen over Amored screen and love the kickstand and it was bit cheaper. Nonetheless, both are great phones.

I rooted and installed Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on my Galaxy Nexus last night. (Vicious V3) The voice search and stuff is really cool. Some nice features though my ADW Launcher EX is better than the default launcher, but I can get the widgets I want so I'm still using the default.

Found at least two apps that don't work in Jelly Bean yet.

Can't wait till my Nexus 7 arrives.

Actually, I had several problems getting it installed and it was acting a bit sluggish for some reason. I ended up installing JakeDay's latest rom (1.9 I believe) and gapps (07/01) and it went in on the first try and is much faster and smoother than the other. That said, I could have screwed the Vicious V3 up during all my issues getting it installed.

Anyhow, I'm pretty happy so far with JakeDay's 1.9 release. My ADW Launcher EX is working perfectly now. Though there are still a couple of apps that don't work on JB.

I am using MyUI Euphoria. Chock full of little tidbits, easy to install, very stable, smooth. I had Cyanogenmod before that which was ok, but Euphoria is more a pizzazz kind of ROM.

But the one thing I found, is they are all primarily the same.....depends on what looks good..

Another thing, MIUI has a TON of themes you can apply to the rom which makes it have a different look and feel to it, I mean hundreds of themes.

Question for the OP: have you owned an HTC EVO? ..and how does this phone compare?

I used to love my phone, but I can't stand it now. I want a new one. I'm with Sprint.

Ive never had an EVO. I think the upcoming EVO compares very closely with the SIII. I have some friends waiting on the new EVO to come out before deciding.

You'll get faster updates with the s3, htc is a slug at them and sense is a resource hog. I played with the EVO LTE and loved the screen though very crisp and clean. No LTE for sprint tho for a while which sucks cause you have to use their 3g

I will go back and check it out and see what has changed. This one has been good except sometimes when I try to unlock the phone (draw the design) it takes a couple of tries as it just stops following when I'm doing it and says I failed. I switched to the PIN and haven't had any problems, but I've been using the design since the Nexus One came out.

As an update....I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this phone.

I have had not 1 thing irk me about it. It is fast and smooth as buttah.

I might need to root it in the next few day, but I am not certain yet. It runs great but Im not used to not having my phone rooted. That kinda bothers me. Am I just weird? :laugh2:

Someone from Verizon said they were planning to stop the upgrade deals they're losing money with them.
