It appears Verizon decided to poop on the Galaxy S III.

Of course, if you don't root / install ROMs, always sticking with the OEM with Verizon's garbage apps and limits they put on the phone then it won't matter to you.

I will stick to my Galaxy Nexus, thanks. :)

Someone from Verizon said they were planning to stop the upgrade deals they're losing money with them.

rumor'd to go to a multi pay system where you pay full retail but in installments. Time to bounce from big red. Tmobile for 30$ and unlimited text/data sounds awesome right now

I've was a T-Mobile user since 1999. (when they were Voice Stream)

Cost wise, they are miles better than everyone else, but I switched to Verizon to get a Galaxy Nexus, LTE, and better coverage. (here in NY anyhow, in Dallas T-Mobile was quite good).

That said. Verizon is better, but not by much in NY anyhow. (in San Francisco Verizon G4 owned in downtown!) Verizon is definitely more expensive than T-Mobile. Both try to control your phone. Of course, I bought a Google branded phone so I rooted/new rom-ed it already and that wasn't an issue. (my guess is they won't have a "google branded" phone again) I had a Nexus One on T-Mobile prior to the Galaxy Nexus. Notice there is no Galaxy Nexus on T-Mobile now. (mobile carries are control freaks)

Either way. LTE blows that BS that T-Mobile calls 4G away. (it's **** plain and simple compared to LTE)

if you order the gsm nexus from play.google.com you can use it on att/tmob, but i agree with everything you said about the carriers.

Great read about how carriers are biggest threat to innovation
