New "Pressure" Defense looking better...

I have to admit that after the preseason and the first game, I was getting a little antsy about the supposed pressure our defense was supposed to be putting on the opposition's QB. However, I'm beginning to see solid progress, especially with our OLBs really getting after it.

DeMarcus Ware had definately his best game of the year against the Bears last week. Not only did he have those two sacks, but he was putting relentless pressure on Grossman. Our 1st rd. pick is really picking it up as well. Anthony Spencer had a very solid game, with a sack & several tackles for loss. Dude is really looking like the real thing, & that is vital to Ware's continued ability to rush without getting triple teamed. The added pressure from the front line was instumental in creating some of the turnovers created.

It was really great to see TNew back in there, as well. We are really gonna need him at full strength by the time we play the Patriots. Anthony Henry is showing up all of his doubters now that he's been healthy. With 4 ints. in the past 2 games, he has been the backbone of the secondary. New addition Ken Hamlin is having a quiet, but productive year so far.
Although Tank Johnson will not be eligible by then, he may be a welcome
addition to the NT spot once he gets back from parole. If he can start there, it will free Ratliff up to do what he does best-rush the passer.

If the defense can reach anywhere close to where the offense is, this team can make a serious run for the SB.
