I am not crazy about the idea that we cut Dez loose, without actually having what I consider to be a number one WR on the roster but hey, it's done now. That is really not the point of this thread.

I am actually kind of excited about the fact that this, to me, signals a paramount shift in the Organization. In the past, I don't believe we see this happen. I am not sold on the idea that this was Jerry's idea. This, to me, seems like Stephen's idea. If that is so, this is a game changer, in my mind. It signals a real changing of the Guard.

It suggests, to me, that Stephen may have control of the Football Side of things in Dallas.

Stephen has had control since garrett took over. It has been those two, that is why they demoted Ciskowski for McClay.

This is what they have been doing and nothing different.

No, I don't agree with this. I think Stephen has had more control but I don't think he has had final control. I think that this may be the point, at which he does.

That is just my opinion.

I believe Stephen had a big say in this. He had a big say in TO being released after the 08 season. It was clear from his comments this offseason that he wanted to move on from Dez.

according to JJ, they arrived at this crossroad collectively with input from several voices within the organization. The team decided to go in a new direction.

I agree, i think it might have started a few years ago inching forward little by little and now the gates are wide open for Stephen.

I think this signals it was definitely a Stephen move

Not a fan of creating another hole to fill but I think you are right and in the long run may be a good thing
Garrett better take notice too lol

if this was anyone else, there would be blood on this sight. We released a talent for nothing. NOTHING.

Not for nothing. I mean, there is a cap savings, if you want to count the money in that funny way they do, but essentially I agree. However, there are several Dez threads already running. This is not about Dez, per say. This thread is actually about who is steering the ship, so to speak.

and Will Mclay see my post people keep siting things that happened 20yrs ago but don't realize this teams FO has changed and with releases of Romo, Ware and Dez it shows they are different and moving in the right direction..

So far Stephen's reign has shown a cheaper version of Jerry's which shouldn't excite anybody for obvious reasons.

How soon we forget the Chan Gailey, Dave Campo years. The organization has been making much better decisions the last few seasons.
