Ooops I was wrong...Seems as though Jerry is poning upwards to 725 million.
Whoah!
The city of Arlington's costs were capped at $325 million, the remainder of the $1.3 billion dollar stadium is Jerry Jones' responsibility.

The NFL is going to help the Cowboys out, the league will contribute $150 million as per their policy for helping teams with new stadium financing.

I also remember reading it will take something like 3 maybe 4 years for Jerry to get his money back. After that........

Well, let's see, it's a $1.2 billion stadium with cost overruns and Arlington's commitment was capped at $325 million.

That makes Jones and the team responsible for somewhere around $875 million.

He certainly didn't put up $875 million in cash for the deal. I'm sure he borrowed at least 80+% of the cost, if not all of it.

Still, you gotta admit that Jerry is putting up the most money any one person has for building a football stadium.

Not sure what you mean by "get his money back." That kind of borrowing is, of necessity, long-term. So the debt won't be paid off for years. Hopefully he'll make enough money to make his scheduled debt payments and pocket some cash pretty quickly, though.

The great thing about financing the stadium is that he can transfer much of the debt to the season ticket holders in the form of PSL financing.

So what the monthly payment? $550K?
They're probably bi-annual payments. 5% coupon on $300,000,000 (which is about what the city financed) would be $15 million a year (or $7.5 million per bi-annual payment).

Are there any numbers on the personal seat licenses? Would that number be reduced by federal income tax?

Hopefully if the season starts badly, we don't have to worry about showing up to Cowboys Stadium one day and seeing a "Foreclosed" sign. :D

Some of this info is probably repeated, however:
I believe it started out around a $650 million stadium, with Arlington paying a max of $300 to $325 million and JJ the rest, no matter what. Then it turns into a $1.2 billion stadium. JJ still paying the rest.

However, is JJ really paying anything. In the end, he will pay nothing, but gain everything.
Which, I'm ok with that, we all would do the same thing, and we all know it.
I have club seats, and he is getting my $$$$ to pay for his stadium, but I will be getting something it return. some people will say it's not worth it, some will. That's just the way things work. IMO and the only one that counts, to me it is worth it.

As I tell many people who question it [besides a few other things] I ask them...how much do they spend on golfing and equipment in a year, and how much on cigarettes, 2 things I do not spend money on....I bet I will spend less over the long run, than they do....so yes, I get much in return, for what I hope JJ provides in a winning team and SB.

Hopefully we will get a SB win out of it, and wouldn't it be great to happen in our own stadium.
