Looks like you might have to pay to watch though unless I was reading it wrong.

btw, they said the pilot will are on CBS over the air station, and the following season on the CBS all-access streaming channel. So, at least you will get to see the pilot before subscribing. (they seem to offer a free week too, so maybe you can watch the first two episodes before you pay anything)

I grew up on Star Trek. I would get home from school, turn on the television, and watch Kirk outwit Klingons and women's inhibitions every weekday afternoon.

Those were the good ole days. The days of syndication, when network affiliates PAID for the broadcast rights to Paramount or NBC or whoever to show Trek. The old defunct UPN network even launched with Star Trek: Voyager years later and I still didn't pay for Trek. Yep. I was spoiled. Now I must pay for Trek. The future sure didn't turn out like I thought it would back when I was a kid.

I wish it was the far future. I wish I had a replicator. I wish I could replicate a stick, find the money-grubbing genius who dreamed up CBS All-Access rights to this new Trek series, and stick that stick right up their I love family friendly CowboysZone so much I won't finish that though.

But I do wish I had a photon torpedo, maximum yield...

The brand-new Star Trek will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.

:)

Alex Kurtzman will serve as executive producer for the new Star Trek TV series. Kurtzman co-wrote and produced the blockbuster films Star Trek (2009) with Roberto Orci, and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) with Orci and Damon Lindelof. Both films were produced and directed by J.J. Abrams.

:(

Pay walls.
Every I see your sig pic of the TNG/Skin Of Evil episode, I think back how cute Denise Crosby was before that hideous entity killed her. Nowadays wherever I see Crosby I wonder if she could play the role of the entity without makeup...

Bad DE! Bad!

Although it's not the same, I've always thought it was kinda ironic Famke Jansen (sp?) played an empath in that TNG episode (can't recall the title) shown in the other pic, while playing the role of telepath Jean Grey in the X-Men movies years later.

Didn't she play an early form of a Trill?

I'm not sure but her makeup for that particular episode looked somewhat like Trill's IMO but it wasn't the same species.

I think watching commentary about TNG, they said, that they changed the Trills makeup after that.

Each of the Star Trek series have been blessed with regular female cast members with attractive physiques. Jeri Ryan (ST:V) and Jolene Blalock (Enterprise) are two that have already been mentioned. Martina Sirtis (TNG), Majel Barrett and Nichelle Nichols (TOS), and Terry Farrell (DS9) were no slouches themselves (although I must admit Nana Visitor's figure caught my eye more often than Farrell on DS9). The Star Trek curves didn't stop at regular cast members though. I don't know how often I've replayed various specific episodes of the multiple series simply to gack at guest stars' figures like:

Nancy Kovack

Nona, A Private Little War (TOS)

Marta Dubois

Ardra, Devil's Due (TNG)

Salli Richardson

Fenna, Second Sight (DS9)

I'm sure there are a few more guest star examples from Voyager and Enterprise but all I can recall is Ryan and Blalock. :p
