New Storm in the Caribbean, GOM

Another one that popped up overnight. The models that came out Sunday afternoon predicted something was about to happen in the GOM. Here we have our 95L with a 50% chance to organize into a named storm in the next 48 hours.

The spaghetti models first had it going on spring break in the Yucatan, but the new one below show it curving into the smoking hot water of the Gulf.

Karl was the second billion dollar damage hurricane to hit Mexico this year. This little critter who'll probably become Matthew in the next 30-40 hours could be the third. The GOM is super hot right now. Very conducive to rapid intensification which prediction models are admittedly very poor in forecasting.
