Yeah, that's not hitting the road .. or air above the road lol .. any time soon, but it's cool to see it actually created and working even if in a controlled environment.A flying car that can go from 0-60 in .81 seconds. Probably going to have a hard time getting it through regulatory approvals.

Of course it was .. the impressive part was what it did though and why I shared it.At this stage its probably more of a concept vehicle. We probably have another generation before we see that
I think most people do not understand that the demo for the flying version was conceptual and likely will never be sold to anyone. The demo was amazing, but realistically how is that going to be street legal
Yes I understand that, I believe the “Rocket” version is invite only. I can’t believe we are seeing this as a possibility now. Amazing times.I think most people do not understand that the demo for the flying version was conceptual and likely will never be sold to anyone.
In other words, the flying version was all about the presentation experience.
I have not read the details, but my guess is they will be selling a non-flying version of the roadster in 2027-2028 and are hoping people will put down money to reserve the non-flying version.
To me it's not the car that was impressive, but simply the flying aspect of it as that's been talked about for decades as "the future".
The fact they created it, even in a heavily planned and controlled environment, and pulled it off flawlessly was the impressive part.
It later flew though when it flew over the vehicles in one of the other demos. As Woody would say, "That's not flying. That's falling with style!"
When I said "most people" I meant people on the internet who are talking about .. which is what Tesla's marketing team wanted I'm sure.Yes I understand that, I believe the “Rocket” version is invite only. I can’t believe we are seeing this as a possibility now. Amazing times.
Very cool. At first I thought it was an AI rendering. Freakin amazing.Yeah, that's not hitting the road .. or air above the road lol .. any time soon, but it's cool to see it actually created and working even if in a controlled environment.
Do you think they’ll allow a vehicle to take corners at 200mph street legal? I don’t think that would be a good idea knowing all the yahoo’s out there on the roads. But it would be cool to be the only one to have one! Cops couldn’t catch you unless they had the souped up version of the Tesla Roadster.I think most people do not understand that the demo for the flying version was conceptual and likely will never be sold to anyone.
