I'm not expecting huge changes to the jersey's but I think the pants will look noticeably different. I think they will look more defined like the Pro Combat uniforms the NCAAF wears.

It'll be interesting to see.

I think the NFL is on board with changes, otherwise they probably wouldn't have went Nike.

Not to mention, new uniforms would probably result in a ridiculous bump in season sales of merchandise as everyone would be replacing their old stuff on top of the regular purchases of new stuff.

Bingo. The NFL wouldn't let NIKE promise these changes, if they weren't on board with it. Now does that mean we will see crazy concept Arena football unis? Probably not. But I won't be shocked to see the Cowboys pants have a star on them, or small tweaks like that.

The number one reason I am happy about the change in licensing... no more terrible Reebok hats. I am a huge lover of fitted hats. I don't like stretch fits, and I don't like adjustables. Reebok basically made nothing but Stretch and adjustables. With Nike AND New Era I will have plenty of fitted hats to choose from, and the other people will still have stretch and adjustables. So if your a hat guy, everybody should be happy.

We do see them every year, but this season, it's actually happening so they're relevant.

Exactly. That's what all this overhyped "transformation" talk is about -- some material that supposedly transfers heat better, or something. It won't be a radically different look.

And BTW, it cracks me up how all these Nike e-models look like kickers... or skinny cornerbacks at best.

There was a big deal on the internet about a gallery of "new Nike jerseys" about a year ago which turned out to be fake, although a few people still haven't quite realized it.

Posters are also using this thread as an opportunity to air out what they would do if given the chance to redesign the Cowboys' jerseys, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Overall, however, I would expect at most minor changes to the team's look to actually happen.

Man, that is sweet looking. I like it the changes if that is what we are indeed going to field in 2012-13'.

I'd log off and you'd never hear from me again if we did anything close to that. Fixing the Dallas unis ain't hard: just make sure all the blues match, return stripes to the socks, and ditch the green pants for metallic blue.

Man, that is something I've wanted for a long time. Get those two-striped socks back in the fold. I miss those. But, I highly doubt we see them again. Sad really.

I do like the new Nike concept. I just hope we don't look like a bunch of college kids (Oregon Ducks) when and if this comes to fruition with Nike. We do not need much tweeking. Like you said, just the color of the pants to match the color of our helmet. And that includes getting rid of the royal blue numbers and getting them back to the darker blue that matches the blue on our helmets.
