I think its pretty much obvious now they are just trying to appeal to the younger generation, and I think they will be successful with that.

Wrong. If that were the case, there would never have been a trend of inner-city kids (wherever they live) wearing Raider jerseys.

I don't know the history of the Raider uniform as a symbol of inner-city culture but the team was quite good for a long time and had an identity as a maverick and renegade group of tough guys, which might have something do with what you're talking about.
