Isn't this the game where a bunch of Skins fans were going to walk out and leave empty seats all over the stadium for National TV?

Or am I getting the wrong game?

He just waltzed in for the TD. Is Hayensworth playing in this game? I haven't heard his name once.

Why did I even turn this crap on?
I knew what was going to happen. Skins look like they don;t even try against the Giants.
We might have to win out.
God I HATE the Giants.

They probably didn't even gameplan for this game and spent an extra week preparing for us :laugh2:

Lifelong Commanders fan Alan Pohoryles started the Facebook group "Commander Fans Against Daniel Snyder" on a whim from his couch before a home game against the Chiefs on Oct. 18. It was just an effort to vent with his friends about the team owner, he says. He invited about 80 of them. More than 13,200 people later, the group is still growing.

Browns management has been in the dog house with many of their loyal followers in the Dawg Pound."It just started blowing up," Pohoryles, who owns the restaurant Tommy Joe's in Bethesda, Md., said. "People started making comments like 'Way to go,' 'Let's start this,' 'Let's make this big' and it just started growing and growing and growing."

From there, Pohoryles thought he might be on to something, thought maybe a group this large could make a difference. So he decided to organize a walkout for the Dec. 27 "Sunday Night Football" game at home against the Cowboys. Fans will go to the game before kickoff, salute the flag during the national anthem, and then head for the exits, hang out in the parking lot and spread the word. Since fewer fans will be in the stands, it's a hit right to Snyder's pockets.

"We want to let Snyder know things aren't all fine and dandy with the fans," said Pohoryles, who admitted to not being much of a Facebook user before the group took off. "We're frustrated, we're tired of it. It's time to make a change. I appreciate the fact that he's a fan, but he's tried it his way and it hasn't worked, so all I'm asking is try it our way. Talk to Bob Kraft. Talk to the Rooney family. Find out what the right way is to do things, and try it."

His group has been successful: nearly every hour, there are words from fans disparaging Snyder and lamenting a season gone horribly wrong. Pohoryles has also added magnets to his truck promoting the group to spread the word.

And sure, not everyone agrees with Pohoryles' walkout, as some believe being absent from the stands all game does more harm than good, and shows disrespect to the players, when it's really about the management. He simply tells them he understands, and that the walkout is not for everyone.

Pohoryles' group isn't the only one rallying against Snyder -- there are countless other anti-Synder Facebook groups, and still others set up on independent sites hawking merchandise -- but his seems to have had the largest impact and reach thus far. And I think it's because he started his initiative at the perfect time: a Sunday afternoon just before the breaking point of the season -- the team was a respectable 2-3 before its loss to the Chiefs that Sunday.

By early that night, and after Commanders head coach Jim Zorn had been stripped of his play-calling duties, Pohoryles' group already had 1,200 members, as he had gained a few hundred members an hour since he launched it before the game. What he'd unknowingly done is captured something people care and are passionate about in an immediate fashion, and provided a rallying outlet for these like-minded individuals -- something social media is perfect for.

Zack Bolno, executive director of communications for the Commanders, declined to comment on the fan movements for this article.

Commanders fans aren't the only ones staging a movement with the help of the Web this season. Some Browns fans, led by season-ticket holder Mike Randall, aka "Dawg Pound Mike," will be doing a late walk-in to this Monday's night game at home against the Ravens. Randall is hoping the sign of empty seats at kickoff for a nationally televised game will send a message to the organization that fans are fed up and want a change.

Randy Lerner heard of the movement, and Randall said the team owner was gracious enough to invite him and fellow season-ticket holder and lifelong Browns fan Tony "Mobiledawg" Schaefer to a meeting in his office last week. But the show will still go on, Randall said.

"We're trying to create a safe, positive message, and it has been heard," Randall said. "I'm going to continue with this 'til Monday night, and we're going to do this. Just because you have a meeting with us, we're not going away. We want to see the results. We want to see the things we discussed in the meeting happen."

But unlike the Commanders Facebook group, Randall hasn't actively built a community online through social media; he's simply fashioned a flyer on his Web site about it, has gotten the word out via the media, and said he's received thousands of e-mails from fans on it.

But at least one sect of Browns fans opposes Randall's late walk-in, and they're using Facebook to get the word out. The group "Real Fans Don't Miss Kickoff" boasts a healthy 722 members as of Thursday afternoon.

What we're seeing here is a backlash to the backlash, and like Pohoryles' group, like-minded individuals are finding their place to vent after they heard of, and disagreed with, Randall's movement.

But Randall is quick to point out he's not shoving his message down anyone's throat, and he'll be down in the front row of the Dawg Pound, rooting loud and proud for the team all game … it will just be after kickoff.

"I don't care if you're with me or not, we're still Browns fans," Randall said. "If you're in. Fine. If you're out. Fine. It's not a big deal. I'm not trying to convince anybody. People say to me 'Who are you to be the voice of the fans?' I'm not. I'm not going out there saying I speak for all Browns fans. I speak for myself.

"It's a game. We're passionate about it. But don't disrespect fellow Browns fans regardless of their opinion. Treat it as a nice atmosphere and enjoy each other. I don't want bad blood or people fighting. Come on; life's too short."
