Please say hello to Joe The Boxer.

He was my nephews dog and he couldn't keep him so we took him in.

Beautiful dog, I used to have one that looked just like him. Named him Bud, short for budweiser... LOL.

My nephew originally named him Blow because of the stripe. I thought it was a stupid name and Joe was close to Blow and I didn't want to confuse him.

Nice looking animal you got there.

Though based on the title of the thread, I was expecting something more human-looking... :laugh2:

Nice!! My little brother has owned fawn boxers for years. They are great family dogs. Only problem are the hips.

I guess they have bad hips? I have never heard that.

Great looking beast! These dogs are cool-- they love to wrastle, rough it up a bit. I think you'll soon learn why they call them Boxers...btw, is his name Dude?

Looks like his ears aren't cropped. That right?

No cropped ears. I prefer the floppy ears.

And I already knew why they are called boxers. Our other dog is finding out the hard way. lol

He's beating her up but she's getting her licks (no pun intended) also.

Good looking pup there Yeager.

I love boxers. I grew up with 8 of 'em. Best dog I ever met was my uncle's boxer named "little bit".

Good name too. Three of the boxers i grew up with were named "mike"...i still love that my old man did that. He stuck gold with naming one of the other boxers "whatta"...dog.

He looks like a Regal old Chap.

Boxers are great dogs.

Playful, lovable and big babies.

Probably Hip Displacia. It's common in a lot of breeds. It's most bothersome to those breeds that love to run, like Huskies.

And I have three huskies. One of them is already starting to get hip displacia.

Someone needs to start a "Post a pic of your pets" thread.

Why is that pure breeds have all the health problems and mutts never seem to get sick? :laugh2:

By the way, Glucosemine (sp?) is real good for dogs with hip displacia. Don't get the one at the drug store, there's a "special" kind for pets/animals. Ask your vet about it.

Speaking of Glucosemine, you old timers that have problems with your joints, I recommend you go to your drug store and pick up some for yourselves. That stuff works wonders.

It's likely cuz of too much inbreeding over the years.
