newman and ellis at practice today

I just saw cbs 11's piece on the practice today and newman worked out in full pads although with the scout team. greg ellis worked out with the team but not in pads.

Ellis said something interesting that i thought I would share, He said he wants to be out there this week and he hopes wade will let him.

that sounds like good news to me.

i am all for holding these guys out as long as they need, but I am encouraged by what I just saw and heard from them.

I'm still going to to see Ellis making plays on the field before I get to excited. Working out with the team sounds good but does it mean he will be activated and actually get on the field any time soon?

I'm surprised Ellis didn't find something else to complain about. What is he going to do when he's healthy and playing?

Oh wait, his contract, right. There's always that to fall back on.
