For the last time folks, the man can't stay healthy playing CB. How in the hell could he hold up at a position that is even more physical? LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF Asomugha comes to Dallas, Newman will NOT be there. Period.

He hasn't missed a game in a couple of years.

I'm not big on signing Nnamdi in the first place since we have so many holes, but if that's the case, why not ask Newman to restructure and move Scandrick to free safety, didn't he play some safety in college..

Hey guys, is this the right thread to discuss how awesome Newman will be at Free Safety?

Stop trying to use logic. The only solution is to cut Newman.

For the last time, this is a false statement that has been perpetuated by various neanderthals who frequent this site. Newman has missed nine games in eight years, and has started all 16 games in six of those eight years (including each the last two years). He has gone four of those eight years without ever even being on the injury report for one single week. Newman has had ONE serious injury in his entire football career even dating back to K-State.

When has logic ever been the rule around here --I say Newman to strong safety--he is tuff enough:rolleyes:

Thank you.

Besides, Safety is more physical from a contact standpoint, but CB is more taxing on the core and lower body, with all the cutting, turning, stopping and starting. Much more stress is placed on the lower body at CB - which is where the majority of Newman's nicks have occurred.

How many years has he played injured? How many years has he been BURNED playing injured. He's a tough S.O.B. so he fights through pain almost every year but his walking dead routine has definetly cost us games on a yearly basis.

Depends on what you mean by injured. If you mean any year in which he was injured at all (by that I mean listed on the injury report at some point), then he has played injured at some point in four of his eight years. If you mean how many years has he played with a consistent nagging injury, the answer is two.
