Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said that there wasn't much to report on the injury front, but that CB Terence Newman and WR Patrick Crayton were being checked out before getting started on Eagles week.
Phillips wouldn't tell us whether or not it was a case of old injuries (Crayton's ankle/Newman's foot and knee) cropping up. But we did see Newman with his right leg pretty heavily wrapped, with wires all around it, during the locker room period.
We'll update on these guys as we find out more.

Lets pray Newman is okay! were gonna need him.

Sounds like one of those electo-stem units was being used on Newman's knee. Not necessarily a bad sign.

The wired wrap on Newman's leg is likely a precaution.

Trainers will use the electric current to help keep scar tissue from developing.

I wonder if those things feel good? Has anyone tried them? Or know someone who has?

I hurt my back one time several years ago. My favorite part of therapy was the ultrasound on the back. I had them crank that sucker up as high as I could stand it.

Yup, I have. On both knees and my left foot. It's not super comfortable during treatment (the treatment area basically feels numb, like its fallen asleep and you can't wake it up), but your range of motion is almost instantly better afterwards. I had that treatment done after surgery (to stave off scar tissue) and when I was having pain/swelling from tendinitis.

Welcome.

I had a type of one put on my knee (i'm sure its different though), but it mainly contracted the muscles and my leg got heated up.

Ditto. Just some wierd muscle twitching and warmness, but it's not a painful thing by any stretch of the imagination.

we've been very fortunate this year....
I wouldn't say that. We lost our starting nose tackle, fullback and #2 receiver, and have had injury problems with both our starting cornerbacks.

I'd say this team just has more depth that we've had in years.

Don't forget, we were without Ellis to start the season as well.
