Newman is a leader and played Pro-bowl style yesterday

On a partially bum foot and knee tendon, this guy stepped it up!

He made some amazing physical tackles and was playing high intensity all night. His pick was so clutch too.

Newman apparently huddled the defense together and told them that Romo and the offense had bailed the D out early in season and it was the D's turn to return the favour and put the team in position to pull it out. This dude is now a leader both by example and by his attitude and vocalness.

Missing those early games might have cost him a pro-bowl shot, but he was a probowler last night. His tackles last night should have impressed even Roy Williams in terms of the power and especially the technique!

I agree however on the Int Ware gets big credit on that as well. He tipped the ball on that play

Absolutely. Great tip by Ware. Shocking playcalling by Bills. Ware will get more vocal and better by the week. Newman has just really stepped up in my eye as a vocal leader. We needed someone (other than Spears who isn't making enough big plays to perhaps get the same respect or make the same impact) to step up as a leader. Newman stepping up.

Spencer too, had like 6-8 tackles didn't he. Good motor. Looks real promising this guy too.

James is playing like he did a couple of years ago, and looks worth every penny again!

I hope Ware stays quiet... I like that he leads by example and can be a diesel player without having to act like a raging lunatic like some defensive players.

Ware made a good play to tip that pass. I agree with Steve Young that even if Ware doesn't tip it that Newman intercepts that pass. He had a great jump on the ball and was right there. He even had to slow down and reach back since Ware tipped it.

I agree with you Newman intercepts that pass either way, he may have scored if it hadn't been tipped because he would have had a bigger headstart.

I would love to see a guy with porter's intensity on our defense, our guys seem so mellow sometimes.
