I think the "main point" is why say it at all...be smarter than that if your Newman...of course after game 2 when he is hurt and Alan Ball is the starting CB I guess he'll have more time to think about what he says next.

I bet these are some of the same people who freak out about giving up a 12 yard dig or skinny post and then, proceed to trash Newman. Never mind if it's the only catch he gave up in the game (Ex. 2006; 2nd Eagles game).

So I dont know about anyone else but last I checked this was America's team right? What does that mean exactly? Well, it means if your another club somewhere in America, your team isnt on the news. Being popular and over scrutinized kinda comes with the territory. Face it, we aint the Seahawks or the Bengals. We demand media attention. The country wants to know whats going on with the club. Every little freakin thing. Good or bad. Yeah its a pain in the you know what, but its always been a pain. Nothing new really. No one should be shocked. Take it from me. I was born in 76, in Irving, during a Giants game, with parents who spoke of nothing but the Cowboys. Even worse, was somehow transplanted in Philadelphia of all places. And growing up being punished by the natives for being a fan. I STILL heard more about the Cowboys, in the worst of circumstances, than I ever heard about the doggone Eagles. We are always going to be in the media and it will most always be something petty, no matter how small. This is just another piece of filler until more news comes along. Its ok, take a deep breath. Itll be fine, trust me.

Injuries are a part of the game. It's not always the players fault he gets hurt.

I agree with this. In fact, the entire label "injury prone player" is a misnomer. Someone who has been injured before is no more likely to get injured in the future than someone who has never missed time before, unless they haven't fully recovered from the previous injury or unless they aren't preparing correctly--but those are different issues.
